waiting.1………….Click the edit button in member information:

use to drop down to find chinese mainland and hit finished,
You will notice I switched from YAHOO US to Yahoo-United kingdom before switching to chinese-china(mainland)because I can't change to chinese-mainland when I switch directly from Yahoo-US,probably because I'm using a european IP address on a yahoo US account, not sure why exactly
You may be able to switch directly from Yahoo-US to chinese-mainland,if so ignore what I wrote above this:
Also make sure you hit finished when you do change to chinese-mainland:
Be warned though,if you cant navigate the profile page when in chinese you will be left with a chinese account,so be very careful,
good luck. 🙂

ParticipantChinese Mainland is only offered in certain one's for example if you have the United Kingdom settings. I tried it that way and it worked but it took me a while to get back to english, fortunately i know Spanish and got from there to English.

MemberI don't see Chinese Mainland! I have done this before and Chinese Mainland has shown up. But when I logged in maybe last year, my nick had messed up and it wasn't showing up in chat rooms. And now I tried it to fix it, but Chinese Mainland is not one of the options. I tried switching to UK, but I still don't see it. Help!!

I'll quote myself from another post:
…..it appears that you don't even have to change the language to add symbols. Yahoo! apparently is allowing you to now add symbols to your nickname with no trouble at all!
Link 1 – Read whole thread please.
Link 2 – See Link 1 First.
Hope this clears things up for you.
