Well dude, obviously most guys have the potential to be faster than most girls. I just hope for you that you never come across a serious girl runner that isn’t afraid to stand up for herself. I used to think it was funny to act cocky to girls that I was faster than, and they didn’t like it too much. I don’t mess around with running, it isn’t a game to me. It has become a lifestyle and I respect it. I met a lot of great people because of it.
And for your information, my name has to do with kart racing. I used to be one of the top drivers in my classes in the nation. But think what you wish.
December 16, 2004 at 4:31 am #108298colinMemberOk, I’m going to go slow for this one. Did.You.Read.My.Earlier.Post?I.Said.I.Was.Kidding.About.That.Comment.
December 16, 2004 at 4:37 am #108322littlefaster23MemberI read what you said. Apparently you didn’t read what I had to say because I think I showed how it wasn’t funny. Your sense of humor can offend people, maybe you should learn that. Oh yeah, this is my last post on this site because if everyone on here is like you, I want nothing to do with it. Have fun, Run hard, and LiveStrong.

Edit: And ACTUALLY, according to these world records that I found, girls ARE slower in the mile than guys. The fastest a man has ran a mile is 3:43.13 in 1999. Fastest for a girl is 4:12.56 in 1996.
Theres a big different between 1996 and 1999.:p
December 16, 2004 at 5:02 am #108299colinMemberThat is saying that a girl has not beat that mile time since 1996. The date doesnt even matter. What matters is the time.

so you saying girl has beaten that time in 2004 since today is 2004 and not 1999? so I guess it does not matter if you are a girl or a guy.
and dates does matter…because its 2004 and you talking back in the 1900s
December 16, 2004 at 6:29 am #108300colinMemberLol, your post makes no sense whatsoever.
December 16, 2004 at 10:38 am #108292QwertyMemberAnyway, let’s all get over it. It was obviously a joke and meanings can get mixed up when you only read it instead of actually talking to someone so meh…
Remember though, the fastest man will always be faster than the fastest woman and the strongest man will always be stronger than the strongest woman however, the smartest man may not always be smarter than the smartest woman.
December 17, 2004 at 5:58 am #108315cuteb0mberchickMemberwhy don’t you just say “man may be more athletics than woman but much dumber than her”
back to the topic, my fastest time for the mile is 8minutes.December 17, 2004 at 6:47 am #108301colinMemberQuote:quote:Originally posted by cuteb0mberchickwhy don’t you just say “man may be more athletics than woman but much dumber than her”
back to the topic, my fastest time for the mile is 8minutes.Actually thats not true either… “From what I read about the smartest individuals alive, Kim Ung Yong ( Korean born in 1963) is considered by experts to be the smartest individual alive;his IQ is estimated far above 200;at only 4 y old he could speak perfectly Korean,Japanese,English and German;which gives him similar capacities as James Sidis , at the same age “
December 17, 2004 at 11:12 pm #108286RabidKittenParticipant*groan* alright kids, just knock it off will you, there are some people here who just can’t take a sexist joke. Of course, it is funny that sexist jokes are allowed but racist ones are not. Just because one kind of depreciating joke is tollerated doesn’t mean you should -say it-.
My time in the mile was about…8 years ago since I only had to run it once in the 6th grade. I got 6 minutes flat. From then on we ran the 9 minute, where you just run and run and run for 9 minutes flat and see how many laps around the gym you got. They never told us how far one lap was, so we never really got to know how far we ran. My highest number then was 19. Pretty good concidering most people got 16 or so.

Okay, now your just trying to piss me off. Did I say ANYWHERE on ANY of my posts that my mile time was a good one? No! All I said was it was good for me. I don’t care if someone beat me, but your stupid little comments are starting to make me mad. Also, that didn’t contribute to the topic at all. The topic was “What is your ebst mile time?”, not “Try to get someone mad if they got beat by RK”. Mods, can we just lock this topic, because I know I’m going to say something I’m going to regret, and there is really no point.
December 18, 2004 at 1:16 am #108311camsterMembergood grief, calm down. You ARE the one that said guys are faster than girls. And I know a lot of girls that are a lot faster than other really good guys. I don’t see a reason to lock this, either. I don’t think cuteb0mberchick said anything offensive, she was just saying that RK is fast, she wasn’t trying to make you mad. If someone at school got a 6:10 and they were talking and said “whoa, thats better than colin’s!” I would take that as a compliment. That means you did really good and it’s a surprise someone got better. OK I’m done. Just wanted to say that because I’m really interested in others times. *lets out a deep breath and walks away*
December 18, 2004 at 1:23 am #108303colinMemberNo, she specifically said it about me to make me feel bad or something. The reason I know this is because other people have posted their times, and I don’t see b0mber saying “Oh whoa, you beat all of their times!”, no she said “You beat Colin’s time”. And I already said I was joking about the guys being faster than girls comment, so that’s not an issue.
