I saw Episode III Saturday night. It tied the series together nicely. I’m glad I saw it, and I enjoyed it, but it wasn’t a movie that I’d rave about. I agree with Rabidkitten that Lucas should never be allowed near a director’s chair. The performances were wooden and the dialogue cliche.
On the bright side, the special effects were fabulous, but effects do not make a quality movie.
Of course, if you’ve seen the others, you have no choice… You must fulfill your destiny and see Episode III.
May 27, 2005 at 4:04 am #121611TigerbladeParticipantok, here’s a question i have, and maybe there’s no real answer to it. warning, this does contain a spoiler i suppose, although it’s nothing that any star wars viewer doesnt know… (and i couldnt make the spoiler tags work for some reason… anyone know why?)
In “The Empire Strikes Back”, Obi-Wan (at least his ghost) laments that if Luke fails in his mission/training, they’re out of luck because he was their last hope. Yoda makes the statement “No. There is another.” However, in Episode III, Obi-Wan knows that Padme has twins, Luke and Leia. Of course there’s a good twenty-plus years between the episodes, but… is this just a plot hole or am i missing something?June 11, 2005 at 10:33 pm #121614ys8er2323MemberThis movie is way overrated, honestly it could’ve been better. George Lucas lives nearby here and suprizingly nobody is really that crazy over the movie around here.

Yoda: I’m able to detect subtle emotional changes in someone’s personality like fear, but i was somehow unable to detect a conspiracty involving 200,000 STORM TROOPERS AND EVERYONE IN THE ******* REPUBLIC.that is a pretty wide-open gaping plot hole. they can sense just about everything else, but not the presence of an EVIL SITH LORD??? hmm……..
