It’s not that i worry much about it really..and besides, people can see quite well that i dont post useless and waste of space messages.
so i dont really care what they thought about the pacman one, its just how i felt when i first saw it, the first impression.

Guys, start looking at the COLOUR of the little dot next to your rep….if you’re not red don’t worry. Besides…as was already mentioned…it is not like you are losing money.

Is this the crybaby area? I mean you guys got one negative reputation point. If you can’t handle it, don’t post. I mean who cares? If your posts are usually decent, your overall rep should be fine. If you whine, I’m sure your rep is going to go south fast. Suck it up.princeG, ys8er2323…
those are going to be random cases of someone who’s feeling malicious and decides to mess with you. hopefully the majority of members here will reserve their bestowing of rep points (positive or negative) for posts that reflect the overall quality of the recipient’s posts. if it starts turning into a reputation war, things could get ugly really quick, and that’s not the purpose of this feature at all.
….and this is the main reason I do not care for reputation points, because there will always be stupid idiots out there trying to spoil the fun, and there will always be the ones that get the bad rep when they don’t deserve it (most outstanding members already know this). Hence, if everyone that regularly participates in the forum knows what people post and how helpful their posts are there is no reason why the reputation addition to the forum should be a problem. In other words guys….play nice children…because that is exactly where this is headed, a fight between two year olds. There are worse things in life than giving or receiving good/bad rep points and I think it’s time for everyone to get over it and off their high horses…geez come one people!
Note: PG read your posts prior to this one and remember our conversation about it.
Jeff: may be you should rethink this feature of the “new and improved BBB” b/c it’s putting a nasty tarnish on the “new and improved”.
I think the big plus side of reputation is more for new members/guests who likely don’t know how reliable someones replies may be. Having the positive and negative graphic on your posts shows them how the rest of the community feels about there overall posting and then gives new users a basis for interpreting your posts.
Besides, if you feel you are being unjustly picked on – on a frequent basis, not some one time inconsequential negative rep for a dumb reason – we can look into it. We are able to investigate and trackback any members who are abusing this system. Just please don’t waste our time over any minor annoyances as shown previously in this thread, they don’t effect your overall reputation.
Then you get those people who think they know it all and when you post a thread trying to figure something out, they give you bad rep saying “why must you post on how stupid you are?” BTW is there a way to see who gave you rep?

And nope, there isnt a way to see who gave u rep.
I love it when people give you bad reps for having an opinion. (I was being sarcastic)
For instance, I have 3 bad points. One was from when I was participating in a game, (I believe it was “Ask a Question) to which I replied, “I don’t know, I wanted to ask my question.” Of course, someone gave me a bad rep saying I was stupid. Cool, that’s real mature.
Two of them were for posting my drinking stories. So if someone is against drinking, they should penalize others who do like it? That’s wrong.
There are a lot of opinions of others that I do not like, but I’m not going to go around and bash someone because they like to use LimeWire instead of Ares and call them stupid, or whatever the topic may be.
I have a general idea of who gives the bad reps to me. But it really doesn’t bother me that much, because I like it here, regardless of what others think of me. It’s just a shame that people have to go and ruin the fun.
