MemberSign out AND close does still not work when clicked in the main messenger window.
When you sign out, the gray icon still remains in the tray (task bar). there is no way to click exit or take it our from the taskbar.
Were the changes from 1671 to 1710 really necessary???
Great tool!July 19, 2004 at 5:05 pm #44102Jeff Hester

KeymasterA Module Updater was added in this new Release
What is the Module Updater ?
This adds the Module Version Information to the Versions in the Yahoo Help > About Tab telling you the Curent Version and the Current Module Version this makes it easier for you and me because if you get problems you can tell me what module version you are running a screenshot is below.

A Report folder has also been added to your C:Program FilesYahoo!Messenger This allows me to add Reports to the folder when you next make a update! you just need to check that folder out in the future of a new Update or Yahoo Release.
In your next version of the DLL Update the Module and Version update should of changed to the new one so if you get any problems you need to let me know hich Version you currently have running on your Messenger!

KeymasterAre you going to place this update on Shifters site? Shifter doesn’t make you join anything to get the downloads and unsakred doesn’t either and I enjoy that .
I Trust Shifters site.

KeymasterI released version 1.4 of the menu update and I have also fixed alot of known bugs which managed to crop up in other versions of the Update and also a few bugs I fixed in messenger!. I will go through the bug issues now with you then we can move on to the Menu Updates.
Known Bugs in Version 1.3
1) A Bug which managed to knock you off of Yahoo Instant Messenger should now be fixed this was due to a corrupt code I had added into the Update. This has now been removed!
2) A Bug which caused your Messenger to Freeze up! This has now been fixed , This was due to the Menu Update in 1.3.
3) A Bug which caused your CPU to go to 100 % of Resource Usage – This has been Fixed , This was due to incorrect Coding.
4) A bug has been fixed in Yahoo Instant Messenger which caused Yahoo to Freeze up with certain Skins being used.
5) A Exploit with Conferencing has been Fixed – this would allow a Attacker to send you Incorrect Yahoo Identitys with the From ID.
Menu Update List
Message Archive was replaced for Message History this is so if there is a user in the Chat Room that you have made a conversation with before you may wish to right click their ID in the Chatters List Menu and Select Message History to view the history of the Conversations you last had with that User. You can also right click Message History if they are on your Buddy List. If the Message Archive brings a different User ID up that you was not expecting this means you have not made any Conversations with this Person.
Yahoo Links sub Menu Added – This can be found in Tools in your main Messenger Window this will allow you to make quick access to the Yahoo Sites. You can play games by clicking the Play Games link it will automatically sign you in to Games. These links you see was added before I just dont understand why Yahoo removed them in the first place! anyway Fixed * You may now access them Links!
New Menu Update Folder – This can be found in C:Program FilesYahoo!Messenger , This will allow me to store Configuration files and Reports on my next updates that I make! which will also contain some other stuff!
Yahoo Main View Window – This has had a update which now makes it more of a easier selection!
Install Instructions
A) Exit Yahoo Instant Messenger
B) Launch the Install File
C) Click Install – When that is done relaunch Yahoo Messenger! (Note The Cool Yahoo Site NavigatesAugust 10, 2004 at 8:19 pm #44108Jeff Hester

MemberI was wondering if you ever considered adding Exit to the Login menu from the Yahoo Messenger so that you don’t have to always go down to the system tray icon to shut down the program.

MemberWow! I can’t believe you added it that quickly. It was one of those things that’s a little annoyance with Yahoo. Thanks for putting that in.
I was reading earlier in your post here and you mentioned that Yahoo had a problem with Webcams freezing. I was trying to find more information about this because I don’t know if it’s the connection that’s interrupting it (I have 300kb/s though but maybe on the other end) or if it’s a problem in Yahoo. Have you heard any more about the issue or is it just an intermitten thing?
August 12, 2004 at 6:47 pm #44111Jeff Hester
Keymasteri have not heard nothing else about it but the only bug at present I know is where you go to view a webcam in the rooms and it freezes up and disconnects your messenger.
also I will mention that a module update will be made later this evening or tomorrow depending on my project status. The new Menu Module Update will have exit in File of the main Yahoo Messenger Window!!
Aslo I see that Yahoo managed to also add the Invite to Chat back to Yahoo Messenger 1750 , also added back the Favorites to the Room , Also Yahoo have fixed the problem with the new Yahoo Messenger 1750 where you had problems accessing Adult Chat Rooms.
