code red was a self replicating program that downlaoded a server program to your pc then sent itself to 19 more pcs then on a start date and time every pc would ping a certain computer system crashing it….. this actually happened but they caught it in time dont leave ur system open for this type of attack
Here’s a thought, since you think this is such a threat to national security why don’t you contact the fbi? I’m sure they’d prolly go find chet, arrest him, and you wouldn’t have to worry about this bozo anymore.
johnson its not chet its that people dont understand and are too trusting …his program is being used by many people and has a big hole in it that yahoo on its own doesnt……once people know they will protect themselves i dont wanna see any ones pc destroyed nor do i wanna see another worm come out but it will happen why give any one a way in??????????????////
But, I tried JAVA again…and I was reminded about WHY I stopped. I had TONS of PM’s (unwanted ones) and people adding me without my wanting them to add me and without my permission….so unless you can find a solution to THAT…I think I’ll stick with clients….thank you very much! Why doesn’t Yahoo! approach some of these people who are REALLY smart and know Yahoo! inside and out (like Chet) and give them JOBS in the company?? I mean THESE are the people that know the problems and HOW to fix them. Then, there would be much less need for third party programs… and the worms..which I DO know are out there…I knew about Code Red and there’s the snake one that’s out now too, would have fewer homes. Yahoo! needs to start looking long and hard at what’s out there! Honestly, people just are not using logic…
http://www.yahoo.com gets more hits then any other website. They have their problems but still make a lot of money. The theory here is, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it, cause yahoo is doing fine, yes it can be a pain at times but they have a killer website, i love it. People been cracking ids for over 5 years now, and just last year they finally did something that really prevents it(word verification). The way i see it, yahoo wants as many people as possible on their site, this includes people who are there to have fun and not bother anyone else, this also includes people who are there to pester other people, crackers, booters, spammers etc. The more the merrier! If i was yahoo i would hire guys like chet it’s just plain ole common sense. I know a lot of people who have paid money for yahoo’s premium services and had their id’s deactivated, i think that is really poor business practice. When it comes down to it, Yahoo! really doesn’t care what me or anyone else thinks.
Why does YTunnel use Ports 80 and 81 anyway?
I haven’t installed it, but I’m going to (so I can try to hack myself) if I can use other ports.
I use 80 as my Internal Intranet HTTP server, and 81 as my WAN HTTP server, neither can be shut down for me to go on Yahoo!.
Why the hell does it use 80 and 81 anyway??
Anyone else tired of hearing this bs about ports being open on ytunnel and how worthless chet simpson is? I’m gettin bored of ripping on these two kids lol.
As Y!Tunnel acts as a proxy, it needs two ports to be a server on. I presume this is one for YMSG stuff, and the other for the HTTP stuff. I am not 100% sure though.
