No you do not need this prgram to run AIM you can delete it.

Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling, I had this same problem and i uninstalled and reinstalled and it worked.

I think the best version of AIM is 5.2 because its very stable one of the most they have ever com out with.

Well i guess never mind about that post i just tried after i wrote this post to format my screenname and it let me.

Maybe AOL finally fixed the problem

Did you try redownloading, because this happened to me once and i redownloaded and it worked fine…i have Windows 98SE to so it should work

Now it will let me sign on but it only shows like two people on my buddy list when i sign on and then some more and eventually every one that is on my list that is on. And Profiles aren’t loading.

AOL really needs to fix their servers
