From what I can gather… I think he’s looking for a program that can log buddies who login/logout and who send him files?
calvinMemberQuote:quote: one other thing. it seems that this started happening after i installed ytunnelpro. is there any connection???there could be a connection if you got your copy of Y!Tunnelpro from a “non-official” source…
calvinMemberThe link above suggests that I use the Doodle ImVironment… that would be a problem for me… since I’ve been having problems with the Doodle Imvironment. Every time I use Doodle, my YM hangs and crashes… I’ve reinstalled several times… evern deleted the old installation but it’s still a no go…
calvinMemberThanks for the reply guys…
Ondoher, I’ll try out your software… thanks…
calvinMemberIt’s a small pop up box… that says “Chat Error”… Couldn’t be a Yahoo Messenger error since it is Account specific… this only happens with one account name (including all of its profiles) when I use my other SNs (in another yahoo account) it works… “almost” flawlessly…
calvinMemberSorry for the delay.
I’ve checked out the weather videos and I was able to view all of them… I also checked out your link and yes it does give me the error that you sited earlier… but, it didn’t affect my PC’s ability to view the weather videos… why don’t you try to click on the link of any of the videos in the list and see if it still brings you to the media helper wizard. As far as I can tell, the videós use the default windows media format…
calvinMemberIf you don’t mind, would you post the site that you are trying to access so we could check if you need to download special plugins for your player… The plugin that you need might not be available from the Microsoft download site thus the error…
calvinMemberYou probably don’t have the necessary plug-ins to run the streams from the site that you’re tryin to access. If you chose to use Windows Media Player when you ran the wizard (Media Helper), check to see if the player is configured to download the necessary plugin as needed… (the player might be configured NOT to download plugins)
calvinMemberI’ve checked my preferences and everything is in order…
I’d like to make this example to clarify my problem:
Account Name: receives PM
Public Profile 1: receives PM
Public Profile 2: does NOT recieve PM
Public Profile 3: receives PM
Public Profile 4: recieves PMI don’t use this in the chat rooms anymore thus, I have this logged in using Yahoo’s Messenger… so the problem with the CHAT2 protocol is ruled out ( although I have noticed that for quite sometime now)
OT:
calvinMembermust be a glitch in the yahoo server… coz, all of a sudden the profile pic just appeared
calvinMemberTrillian’s crashes are Yahoo connected… I edited Yahoo.ini to prevent my accounts from connecting automatically and Trillian messenger ceased from crashing… then when I click on one of my Yahoo accounts to connect, Trillian crashed… so I guess Yahoo is bent on preventing other clients from using their chat services….
calvinMemberThey can be deleted from the Y!Messenger’s windows registry entry… but if you’re not technically savvy, I would not recommend that you play around with Window’s registry… Oreo’s suggestion (although a bit time-consuming) could be a better option…
calvinMemberI am not familiar with Yahoo Messenger Versions for MACs, but as of September 24, 2003 yahoo has disabled protocol 9, the connection protocol used by older versions of Yahoo Messenger… As far as I know, all Y!Messenger versions lower than 5.5 (for Windows) will now cease from connecting to the Yahoo Chat servers…
calvinMemberyes, it shows no photo selected…
calvinMemberThe pictures are in jpg format…
it doesn’t give any warning/error about the pic not being uploaded…
After, I click on upload… it uploads the picture… but when it refreshes, there is still no picture in the profile… -
