Member30 clicks now. You can check how many at any time by going to the page. This will also increase the count by one however…

MemberSorry everyone for not responding for so long. I had a similar group on concerns on my blog. I will post the comment and my reply
Kate said… I have to say that I question your motives in this click and donate idea. It seems to me like an excuse to increase the hits to your site, and I personally don’t think that it is right for someone to take advantage of a situation like this. If you want to help, then make a donation instead of playing a little click and donate game. I’ve always believed that you should donate out of goodness and not look for some kind of recognition for it – Don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. On the other hand, your intentions could be completely genuine, but I don’t know you and all I have to go on is what I see… and that is someone asking for more links to their page before they can donate to the needy.

The Captain said… I can understand your concerns in this situation. I have personally donated money besides this to the relief effort as well as help raise over $10,000 in donations in a drive-thru donation set up. This is simply a program similar to all those walk-runs for cancer, aids, etc, where people pledge money based on how far someone walks or runs, except that this occurs on the internet. I have pledged the money (1 cent per click), and I am also the runner. I do appreciate your concerns however, and understand that you may be uneasy doing something such as this, especially when so many people take advantage of disasters such as this (price-gouging, etc). If you read the other entries on this page I hope that you will realize that I do genuinely care and wish to make a difference, but in a unique way.
I just thought it was a fun way to do things. If you noticed, the donation page isn’t even on the main site, meaning that people don’t even have to visit my site for me to donate. Also, If you read the donation page, it says that I plan on including receipts from the Red Cross. And again, I’m not demanding clicks, I just thought this might be an original way to do things.
And just to ease people’s hearts and minds, I have not placed any ads, spyware, trojans, viruses, and anything else a complete jacka$$ would place on a donation page.
$0.22 so far…captainfullet
Memberall 12 pages of search results on google (if you “repeat the search with omitted results included”) are about me, only a few of them are from here though. It seems I’m the only captainfullet. Ever.

MemberSorry, Spike, I wasn’t trying to undermine the blogring. Its just that it seemed to me that most members of the ring were linking to all the other members directly anyway, so why not have a blogroll. You don’t have to use it if you don’t want to. It’s just a tool, and I’m not trying to force it on anyone.

MemberI was browsing through the ring, and the lefty’s world blog doesn’t exist. What’s the deal? Also, some people don’t have the BBB remote (crazy penguins) which makes it really frustrating to browse through the blogs.
EDIT:: I made a blogroll for the ring. It doesn’t work with the ring itself, so I have to do it manually, but here is the code to it:

MemberJust in the nick of time. This still counts right? My clock says 10:48, Sept 9. I just joined, and thought it would be a good idea. I’m also on the blogring (thats how i found you guys). Anyway, here’s my entry (80×15). And by the way, no photoshop involved. All of this was done with MGI Photosuite for Windows 95 🙂

It has a white border around it, kind of hard to see on this white background.
