ParticipantAIMutation hasn’t been updated for a while and only supports AIM 5.x
Cronus
ParticipantHave you tried enabling the options on the IM Logging tab of AIM’s settings?

ParticipantHere’s how I read it:
Your friend set himself as away at 1:11pm, while actually there.
His computer got disconnected (went to sleep?) at 1:24pm, then reconnected at 2:55. Because he was already set as away, instead of showing him as “signed on”, it is shown as away.
Similarly, while already away, his computer disconnected/signed off at 3:12pmCronus
ParticipantNo, you should not get charged for international texting based on his location.
The text message to your phone will be the same receiving an AIM message from him as it would be if he were in the room next to you.

ParticipantYes, though only so much. I was originally scared away by the first Triton betas, but the current levels are down a lot lower than that. It still takes more than AIM 5 though.
You might want to check out AIM Lite (AIM Lite) which is pretty full-featured (including the ability to use plug-ins like AIMTunes) but doesn’t take up too many resourcesCronus
ParticipantThis is unfortunately true.
I will be attempting to find another solution, but they are down until futher notice. If anybody knows of a solution, please let me know (though I’m not too hopeful about that)

ParticipantI’ll note that there is still a rate limit of 10K messages per day. This might sound like a lot, but its 7 messages/minute (or t=8.5s) sustained. So really, they’re just allowing you to deal with peaks better.
As for warnings, if your normal ScreenName never initiated conversation, it was pretty hard to get it warned quickly, so there’s not so much saving there.
One of the big things they HAVE given bots is the new 10K buddylist limit. This is between 2-5x the old limit (it was never officially announced). While some of the very top ScreenNames will still be left invisible, for bot owners this is an incredibly useful limit to be removed.

ParticipantSince switching away from Windows, my computer has been bug free without the slowdown of extra scanners 🙂
That option isn’t for everybody, but I’m not a gamer, so it worked for me.

ParticipantIt should work for any account type. Try running it and see if it works for you, at worst the program will just run and be unable to help.

ParticipantAimFix should do the trick:

ParticipantMrEggsalad, given that AOL already has your IP, they can probably approximate your zip code, unless you’re not connecting to AIM directly.

ParticipantTOC has been down since 5:15AM (eastern) 8/18/05.
If you use naim, one of the community members was able to hack together a TOC2 version which is working, though I don’t know where to obtain it.Cronus
ParticipantAs you saw, buddyzoo requires registration. It can only act on the information users provide it. aimfight, on the other hand, taps directly into the AIM servers, with access to no only ScreenNames which have used it, but every ScreenName on the AIM network

ParticipantI’ll take a look, it may be over capacity.
In the future, please send an e-mail or post on the DoorManBot forums, I don’t always stumble over the ones on here.

ParticipantIf you do multi-protocol, definitely go with Trillian or Gaim, otherwise for just AIM, take a look at TerraIM.
