MemberAlmost constantly.
Perhaps every fourth breath I take, depending on the time/boredom/work.
School mates regarding homework and projects, Work mates for the same reasons as deepthought, coach for practice, friends to decide plans for weekends, (girlfriend for weekday evenings), brother to bring cd’s back to my room, and mum to check if I can raid the fridge. 🙂I guess the reason is comfort, speed and price, and the fact that I’m given IM access at home, work, school and gym, which are about 85% of my life style.
Can’t immagine long distance (over 5meters 😉 ) communication without it.

MemberYep. I have a standard Trust 120Sp@ceCam, which I barely use. I have a digicam that can be used as a webcam too, which I have NEVER used as one.

I like the GUI, it looks much neater, but I can’t relly tell much more than that. We will see about the spam and interfacing. I shall wait for it’s implementation with hope of a less spammed hotmail account.dme

They put the tab info on there servers for a reason, who knows exactly what that reason is, but it likely involves making more $$ from advertisers.
I’m confident someone will.:) A Work around in mind is the Ad remover – making more $$, using servers and it is now a popular work-around.

MemberAny idea when tabs will be customizable with MSN Messenger 6.1?

🙂
as a concept, I’m disappointed by their using the same interface as Windows Messenger 4 – I’d have expected the same GUI improvements as from MSN5to MSN6. I got bored and went back to MSN6.1, after 15 minutes of nothing interesting to note. Perhaps I might tweak and play if i’m ever bored before I forget it.
Also, not compatible with MSN Plus 2.57.71. Sorry Patchou, more work on the way :pdme
MemberDo you mean Windows Messenger 4.7, which comes embedded with Windows XP?
if yes, there are two options,Option 1 – Do not load on startup, but keep on computer
In MSMGS:
Tools>Options>Preferences>and deselect “Run this program when windows starts”If this doesn’t work,
1 Start>run
2 type MSconfig
3 startup
4 deselect MSMSGS “C:program filesmessengermsmsgs.exe” /backgroundOption 2: Total Annihalation
1. Click on the Start button and select Run.
2. Type: RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%INFmsmsgs.inf,BLC.RemoveHowever I heave heard that this slows down Outlook Express, although I believe it can be fixed via Regedit.
i. open regedit
ii. edit>find
iii. type FB7199AB-79BF-11D2-8D94-0000F875C541 in “Find what” box
iv. two values will be found. Right click, click modify, and delete the text(“{FB7199AB-79BF-11d2-8D94-0000F875C541}”) found in the Value Data box for both of them. -
