MemberThat’s what I was thinking. They are probably loading bots (names used specifically for 3rd party programs) and getting back on the mic. If that’s not the case, then yeah UnSaKreD, someone is really desperate to own the mic 🙂
EliteNick
MemberOh is that all you wanted to do? Jeesh:(

MemberI’d like the original “Boot” feature we had when we started a room, so unwelcome visitors could be kicked out (not off of messenger, just out of the room). I still don’t know why they took that out in the first place.
EliteNick
MemberAre they new skins or just Yahoo!’s with a new color? lol. Oh and um…untamed, there is an “edit” option instead of posting three times in a row.

MemberAs Martin said, it sounds like you have a firewall blocking it, but sounds like it isn’t because he said it connects but then disconnects. A firewall wouldn’t even allow it to connect without the owners permission. Try going to http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/messenger/win/index.html assuming you’re on Windows. Type in your question. 🙂

MemberHi Mariyah!
I am not sure if I understand your question, but it sounds to me as if when you put someone on ignore, they still come through on voice. I have never experienced this problem, however you may want to try unignoring/reignoring them, sometimes I have to do that to get them off the mic. Also, refresh voice by clicking the voice button to turn it off and turn it back on. Hope this helps

MemberThere are several more alternative clients, a new one that has little time to be exploited is Y!Chamber…if you want the link you’ll have to e-mail me though, not allowed to post it sry. Oh and by the way…why did you make your screenname mr diarrehha?
EliteNick
MemberOk, try uninstalling it then going to http://messenger.yahoo.com and redownloading/installing it. Maybe you had the old Yahoo! Messenger running during installation the first time?
EliteNick
MemberWhy yes, you are new! This is something that was posted in the first few posts…You need to actually read all previous posts before making your own. Think about it, if theres a topic with 6 pages of posts, your idea has most likely already been posted about.

MemberQuote:quote:I cant get my connection stable using 6.0. Messenger keeps logging itself out.Sounds to me like you were just getting booted lol.
EliteNick
MemberIt is different software but uses Yahoos’ servers, you still have all your buddies, the same rooms, everything. But, since it is different software you are virtually unbootable because most boots are directed to Yahoo! Messenger exploits. If you just want to use Yahoo! Messenger and still be unbootable, go to login/preferences and go down to connection preferences. Use firewall with no proxy. This will disable the voice and cam features though, but most boots won’t work this way. This is useful if you continously get booted, just login through that and it will stop and your attacker will probably stop too. 😀

MemberHate to break it to you but the older versions will no longer work soon. Anyway, I doubt jay bird is on a really old version because as he said, he used to get faces. Sounds to me like your install went wrong somewhere (assuming you installed the new messenger). If that’s not the case, then your computer is just screwed up 🙂

MemberI did, nothing. Server possibly banned from AOL? My site is back up so you can e-mail to admin@[domain deleted – family friendly links only!], thanks

MemberGah, Shifter please.I removed the innapropiate content, it is now behind a “guard” you must register and agree to the T.O.S. (18 years of age or older). I e-mailed Jeff about it as well. Anyway, I found another cool thing to do, this makes your nickname invisible except for one character, that changes everytime you write a new message in the room! I’m not sure if this was posted before, I know the invisible one was. Anyway, here it is:
¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
Yes, that’s a lot lol, but it’s really cool when everytime you make a post your nickname is a different symbol.
EliteNick
MemberWell, It would be cool if you could just have it change the nickname/age language to enable ASCII, ect, without the whole profile being in chinese. Is that what you’re talking about? Also, maybe you should let us choose from a drop down list of languages that are known to work right now, so that if one gets patched later you wouldn’t have to release a whole new version for one minor change.
