ahh.. i had the beta of trillian on my android but stopped using it before they started the chat history or just didn’t notice I suppose.

is their software already designed to kill processes when the screensaver is active?
or would I have to write something myself to make it do that?
cause I have no idea how to do that.

edit; also if I click ‘preview’ instead of post.. and then post it.. then it works fine.
for example I tried posting this just as it was entered and I got the error message. so I pressed back and clicked preview and then post.. and it posted fine.

depends on how you use it.
if you allow only a certain group to send you files and you trust them.
or your buddylist is friends only.
I get sent files for my work, and I leave aim on all the time with this feature.. cause I’m not always around to accept it.. so it’s handy.
but I’d like to use gaim.
right now there are no user created rooms showing up on the list.
i use yahelite and i get an error message.. but it’s the same thing as getting logged off the chats on yahoo messenger. yahoo seems to be closing alot of rooms lately. at first i thought they were just banning certain chatroom names.. but it doesn’t look like it now.
is it only happening with the same people each time? or does it vary?
if it was just with the same people each time, and wouldn’t connect i would say they were behind a firewall.. but if it’s disconnecting your modem, i’ve never heard a problem like that. could be a modem/nic problem.
if you have an extra NIC try plugging your ethernet cable into it and see if the problem occurs again.
take a look on that site for one, it’s your best bet.
