I love you now and will bring you homemade sugar cookies if you want.
FancyMemberRequirements serve a purpose. If there is a need for an increase in postings, then yes, the requirements serves the purpose of increasing the number of posts. The requirement may very well have always been in place and I never noticed it. But I do notice it now and it disturbs me to be required to post something in the forum if I want access to the arcade. Do you think someone required to post something so they can use the arcade is going to provide you with a quality tidbit of information or some thoughtful answer to your questions? I was under the impression that BBB was beyond needing to encourage random posts by using access to the arcade as an incentive. Maybe Jeff should also require each post be ‘x’ number of words long? I think generally speaking when you require a minimum number of posts, you immediately sacrifice quality for quantity.
FancyMemberAck..I was hoping it would be something easier to handle than the dreaded Gremlins! Thanks for the heads-up. I’ll give it some time and try again to change the images in a few days.
FancyMemberNo problems and its been 3 days. I’m going to have to assume it did have something to do with the date/time setting or one of your other little suggestions that I followed. In any case, I’m fixed and very happy. Thanks guys!
Now I have to change the battery in my iPod…I bet we have a forum for that too. 🙂
FancyMemberYeah my mistake..that was a “S” not a 5 oopsie. I checked the time/date on the router and it was all hosed up. (probably some default setting) I fixed that and we’ll see how it goes.
Thanks!
FancyMemberI was previous using a LinkSys router and it just flat out died on me. One day it was fine..then wham…none of the computers could see each other or connect to the internet. I replaced it with a brand new one I had sitting around (geeks always have spare parts) When I suspected the router was not letting my WLM connect, I switched to the D-Link router. That didn’t help, so just to be sure, I bypassed the router altogether and everything was fine again. The disconnect I experienced was also weird, it would do one of two things 1) Log me off and I could tell the messenger window had closed, or 2) it ‘looked’ okay until I’d try to send a message or suddenly notice my entire list of contacts had all logged on at the same time…whoa is that a scary sight when all those little individual messages pop up to tell you each person just logged on. I’d love to fix this problem…Philip had me shut down ZoneAlarm but that didn’t seem to be the problem. I have an additional HD with an old version 4.something windows messenger on it which is working fine.
I have a small box on my WLM that should have advertisements in it but its blank. It remains an empty white box…no ads running. Maybe that means something. I’m not running any ad blockers that I know of, I installed the new version and have not modified it. Fix me up guys!!
PS. I did check the UPnP Host…it was started.
FancyMemberWith guys…its always about size isn’t it? 😉
My new year’s resolution is not to touch public doors anymore with my bare hands.

FancyMemberDavid;220451 wrote:I don’t understand that way of thinking. If there is a line then it is only courteous to work as quickly as possible. I see this every time I go to the grocery store–the women take forever at the self-checkout and the men move quickly. If there is a line then its only respectful to move, and yeah, if you’re going slow on purpose then you probably deserve the looks. How would you like it if it was reversed? It’s only respectful to move quickly and reduce the wait of the rest of the line.Courtesy is a two-way street David. If behind me is a man that badmouths women in a public forum, then taking my sweet time is not rude its appropriate payback for his sexist view of women. Our forum comment was for women to give their thoughts on this guys post at the X Box 360 site regarding women, and that’s what I gave. If realizing that men think women are taking longer in lines than they are and glancing around to see if any men are looking at me with that ‘hurry up’ look means I am holding a grudge or unprepared, then I think you missed the meaning of my post. The post at X Box 360 was obviously intended to be taken light-heartedly as evidenced by the comment posted by the forum’s moderator in response to my reply there. He said, “Oh dear. We now have a woman who’s taken this one seriously too. I say we leave it….” Perhaps its a matter of what each person thinks is funny. I found my signature funny when it said “If a man speaks in the forest and no woman is around to hear him…is he still wrong?” Its meant as humor but some sensitive guy could take offense.
Maybe its not that women take longer…maybe men just have less patience? I think you should voice you views on ‘respect’ over at the X Box forum where it might do some good. I see very little disrespect going on here at BBB.
FancyMemberI’d so enjoy taking forever to conduct my transaction if the guy that created that post was behind me! In fact….I’m tempted to glance around now just to make sure some guy with an anxious look on his face isn’t rolling his eyes at how long its taking me in line. Its a shame men don’t realize that their callous remarks have a ‘fallout’ affect.
FancyMemberI’d ban David for having a little “I Microsoft” tattoo on his left thigh.
FancyMemberWhat advantage is there to deleting your account? Why not just stop using it if you don’t want it anymore?
FancyMemberI find the ads like the one for “Yahoo Baseball07” that use pop-ups to be very annoying. I know ads pay the bills but they dont necessarily have to pop into your face when you move across them. I didn’t use to notice them so much but I’m feeling an increase in ads and a decrease in interesting posts. Yeah yeah, I know I could shut off pop ups but I chose to visit less instead.

It’s a great idea but the trouble is that I can’t remember what I clicked on because it happened accidentally.
Does anybody know how the “favourites” works?
When I click on the Arcade tab, next to the name of each game is a tiny red heart with the plus sign. When you hover over it with your mouse, it says ‘add to favorites’. Clicking on it will add it to your Favorites List. Likewise to get rid of it you just click on the minus sign next to its name in your Favorites list..and poof its gone again. If those little heart/plus sign icons have disappeared for you…then I’m not sure what you did to do that. It was maybe magic!
