yea so true, because they get there servers from data centers like http://www.theplanet.com and you have to pay for the bandwidth. I have 1000GB of bandwidth a month right now and 2 80gb harddrives which is good enough for me.
Well im paying for a dedicated server in texas which has a 100Mbit uplink. I have full control of the server and can do pretty much whatever I want with it. Anyways ill prob. just get another server and cancel my current one
I was going to try and get it up today. But now I have had it with my host. I rent a dedicated server and for some odd reason they felt like taking 2 of my harddrives out today. So it may be another week
I have made a add-on for aim with visual basic. First off depending on what your going to do you will need to use c++ to subclass/hook into the process. Also it is not possible to make a ocm type add on in visual basic. so your add on will have to run in a seperate process. There arent any sites that have info on how to do this because it isnt capable in visual basic without third party dlls(made in c++). I would suggest you bite the bullet and learn c++
First off you need to know c++ or c.
Second you need to learn how other aim plugins work.
Aim plugins are usually ocm files. A ocm file is a dll with 2 exported functions OCMOpen and OCMClose. I have a example ocm file that you can download here http://fx-soft.com/downloads/blankocm.zip (note: this is the c++ source code)if you cant figure the rest out dont bother asking me, im just givin some hints because I dont have time to teach.
The site may be down for a week, hopefully not though. I rent a dedicated server and it is crashing every time it starts up. Last night the company I rent the server from said they are sending the server to the hardware techs to have them fix it.
lmao, if you didnt notice otsego works as a proxy between the aim client and the aim server, it doesnt use windows api to update the profile. Im going to release a new profileamp which is based off of otsego, also the current profileamp is a proxy, so i dont see how its even like that kids program

I’m not certain the the two occurances are related, but given their proximity and the fact that my computer is otherwise very secure, I have my suspicions. Team-FX, of course, may be releasing the Otsego add-on in the near future. I don’t intend on using it, but for those who do, I think that the possible security risk outlined above probably merits further investigation. Anyone with the requisite expertise is invited to do so – I’m out of my league when it comes to coding.
