MemberWell just because you “didn’t bother to keep the source code” to this unfounded program, I am supposed to believe you? Well I’m sorry but I don’t. Secondly, if you removed all of the unneccesary swear words, and incomprehensible stuff from your post; you repeated what I posted previously.
Just a simple piece of advice: If you want to have some credibility in your posting, you might want to try the following. Use proper english grammar and sentence structure. You also might want to use a spell checker. Also using profanity not only destroys your credibility, but also makes you look very immature.
I didn’t mean to throw this topic off, however I felt that the previous post was only repetitious and didn’t bring anything new to the subject. My previous post however was meant to enlighten those who have no knowledge of the subject. If I offended anyone (Caine) it was unintentional, and I apoligize. I am no expert and am only stating my opinion here.

MemberI don’t think Yahoo allows public Telnet access to their servers, and even if they did you would not be using the right protocol either.

MemberI would suggest that you use a different ID, to log into messenger. If you are able to stay online without this problem then you can at least narrow it down to a single Yahoo ID, and more than likely the problem is a booter issue. Otherwise do as Oreo says and maybe give us more information.

MemberQuote:quote:Originally posted by RodI also have a problem signing in.
MSN Messenger 5.0 worked fine, and then I downloaded 6.0 and I can’t log in. When I try to sign in I get the following message:
“Your program is making an invalid dynamic link call to a .dll file”
When I close the message messenger shuts down.
If anyone could help me I’d really appreciate it!!!!
Rod,
Your problem is more than likely driver related. First you need to uninstall the current version of messenger that you have and either reinstall a previous version or redownload the newest version and reinstall it.It sounds to me like your installation of MSN has become corrupt, either through a bad installation or some other fashion. Your best bet is to download a fresh copy of the MSN installer, in whatever version you prefer. I hope this fixes your problem.

MemberJust as a footnote to the posts listed here, I’d like to add:
Unless you are trying to trace someone who has bad intentions toward you, or you yourself have bad intentions, there is no need to know someones IP address.
I’d also like to add, for the benefit of those reading this thread with bad intentions. No matter how well you try to mask/spoof your IP when on the Internet you can be traced and prosecuted.

MemberAre both MSN messenger and Windows Messenger running at the same time when you are trying to log on? If so this might be your problem, as there has been some compatibility issues when both MSN messenger & Windows Messenger are running.
Are you still able to run Windows Messenger after uninstalling? If so, and you are trying to completely remove it; try deleting the directory it resides in under Program Files, and (if you know what you are doing) remove the registry keys relating to the program in the registry. If this doesn’t fix your problem then try reinstalling MSN Messenger after removing Windows Messenger.

MemberI’m going to have to agree with detn8r on this one. Your post is complete gibberish. Try rephrasing your question so that it can be understood. No one can answer your question if they cannot comprehend or understand it.

I’d have to agree with Mr. Kovach on his point regarding Microsoft. I think they are shutting down their chat services firstly to release the liability that would befall on them, and secondly to raise more money for the corporate giant’s pocket books. Personally I don’t see anything wrong with wanting the company to have more profits. What I see wrong with this situation is that Microsoft is basically passing the buck on to the rest of us and other companies and washing their hands of the problem. This really isn’t going to help rid the Net of pedophiles. I think Microsoft could take more responsibility in this situation, and also make a statement by stepping up to the plate, and actually doing something to help get rid of the pedophiles; instead of just passing the problem on to someone else. What does that say about how Microsoft feels about our children? To me it says that they just don’t care.

MemberDefinitalely Wayne Brady. I mean he is truelly hilarious, and he can sing in any style, and make it sound good, and at the same time funny as all hell. How in the world could you beat that???

MemberThat is truelly sad, and hilarious at the same time. I’ll have to add this one to my growing microsoft collection.

MemberI don’t think that by shutting down this service this will eliminate the problem. Those people who use the service for that purpose, will either find another way to harrass, stalk, etc., or find another service that is less strict like Yahoo.
What really gets me is now in order to enter a chat room through MSN you now have to be a subscribing member to one of their services. This seems to me to be a little bit greedy on Microsofts part. I’m sure there could have been another way to alleviate this problem.

MemberIt sounds to me like your problem is related to something within Messenger. Try reinstalling messenger and see if that fixes your problem. If that doesn’t work, you might have a corrupt webcam driver, and you would need to reinstall that as well. Hopefully the first suggestion fixes your problem though.

MemberTry uploading the photo to your Yahoo briefcase and put it in your photo album. Then when you select edit your profile picture there should be an option to use one of your Yahoo Photos. Select that option and select the photo from your photo album and then save your changes. If done correctly your profile page should reload with the picture. I hope that helps.

MemberOk, by default the setting that I have illistrated above will not allow an “anonymous” user to view your cam without permission. It will request access which you can deny.
The only thing you can really do to fix your YTunnel problem is uninstall the program and reinstall it from scratch, and adjust your preferences accordingly. I hope this helps you.
