GAG, all you have to do, is go into prefs and go to firewall, select the 2nd option and you are set.. thats all… i had the same problem
u must incluse the http://aimtoday.aol.com/redir.adp?at_spot=at_nw1.home.main.mid&url blah blah part because it wont work just doin the url the the targeted info…..
I think the smiler was an awesome idea….. without all these great ideas (smiler, buddy icons, expressions) aim + aol would really suck. they would be really boring….. I SUPPORT THE SMILER!!
i heard of a lot of AOL “discontinue” hoaxs. they put a couple things in my mail saying that if you do not forward this email to at least 10 people then they will cancel my aol subscription but it turns out… i dont use Aol!
when you install it, i unchecked the auto start box because my computer aint the fastest. i started it up, putting my screename and password into it and then i noticed the different color taskbar button it was orange not yellow. then i signed on and the “runner” was still orange with a baby-blue background and white outlining.
well not exactly because “the man” was orange and baby blue when i first setup aim. after i reset my computer “the man” was just yellow and regular blue
the baby blue icon is for only the latest vr. of aim and i think only win xp. the icon is run on a 32 bit grahics mode rather than the regular icon at 16 or 24 bit. if it allows you to switch your graphics mode under Dislplay Properties>Settings then it should work….. i can’t do it myself becasue i havent a strong enough video card (5MB)
i like the orang w/ light blue better but i used a resource hacker and it said something about the orang/light blue being 32 bit color and the other one is anyone under….. i cant set my video card at 32 bit unless i use an 800 x 600 res., mine is currently at 1024 x 768 and wish to keep it that way.. so i need a better video card because mine is a 5Mb :-[

If u want a profile in the Aim today window.. then go to Buddy4U.com or host you own…..
it might be because it isnt fully downloaded and that it is a streaming audio….. it might be ur audio card or u need more ram.. im not exactly sure though
