You should try IM Frame http://www.imframe.com. We’ve been able to keep up with each new AIM version since 1998. Our standard edition cost only $4.99 and has similar features to DeadAIM (logging, name alias, tabbed menus and more). We provide terrific support. We even list our phone number on our home page! IM Frame comes with free 10 day trial. You can rely on us to be around and support our software over the long term.
IM Frame http://www.imframe.com works with AIM version 5.5. We’ve been able to be compatible with every new release of AIM (well within days) since 1998! We have both Standard and Professional version. Both versions come with free trial period and include instant message logging, name alias, tabbed window, pop-up alert and more.

Granted IM Frame Standard costs $4.99 to continue using after ten (10) day trial period, but it does have message logging and is, unlike other AIM add-ons, fully compatible with AIM 5.5
