MemberYes, I like Ralph Fiennes also. Have you seen End of the Affair and The English Patient? Those are my favorites of his. Strange Days was cool, but I still can’t decide if I liked him in Red Dragon. I have yet to see The Constant Gardener but I need to do that soon. Did you know he was the voice of of Rameses in Prince of Egypt?

Yeah definitely Flea and Lars!I like Zac de la Rocha also, not necessarily for his music, but for his involvement in the indigenous rights struggle in southern Mexico. I wonder what he’s up to these days.
The think one of the only reasons I liked the first Alanis Morrisette album was because Flea was on it.

MemberFor over a year now I keep getting messages from someone containing blatant sexual harrassment on Yahoo Messenger. I have blocked this person several times and I have changed my Yahoo ID several times and I’m still receiving these messages. I have told them to stop attempting to communicate with me.
I reported them to wiredpatrol.org and to Yahoo but Yahoo always sends me an auto-reply message that only says in so many words: Just use your ignore button. So this time, I sent them a reply right back stating: I have already said that I ignored this person several times and I have also changed my ID several times since the harrassment began. I would appreciate some real help please.
Is it time to call the police?

MemberCheck out the sticky called Yahoo Messenger FAQ. There is one called How to put symbols in your Yahoo nickname. This is the new nickname I use in the Yahoo chat rooms, so I changed my nickname for every other site I’m on as well. You can find that sticky here:

MemberMost of the radio stations here play the same 50 songs 50 times a day, so I don’t listen to any of them, except maybe for the local college station. They play local (Cajun) music on weekend mornings, world music weekend nights – programs such as Afropop Worldwide and Thistle & Shamrock. They carry World Cafe on weekday mornings, which I absolutely love. Weekday afternoons they usually play classical or jazz and blues music.

MemberOf the Christian music that I listen to, here’s a short list of those I would think a younger listening audience might enjoy:
4Him, Andy Chrisman, Barlow Girl, Margaret Becker, Bethany Dillon, Steven Curtis Chapman, DC Talk, John Elefante, Keith Jars of Clay, Newsboys, Out of the Grey, Brad Paisley, Twila Paris, Plumb, POD, Sixpence None-the-Richer, Scott Stapp, Rebecca St James, Switchfoot, Thousand Foot Krutch, Toby Mac, Jaci Velasquez
I hope that helps! It’s nice to see adults who care about what their children are listening to these days.

MemberI had to get a new operating system to play Age of Empires III because I’ve been running Windows 98 all this time. Actually I had to get a new computer because I had a major hard drive crash that couldn’t be fixed. It was time to get a new one anyway.
I have a 2.8 with 512 RAM and the game runs pretty good, but for some reason when I scroll the screen into the water areas, it lags pretty bad. I wonder what’s up with that.

MemberI still like Age of Empires II better than III but maybe that’s because I’m a big fan of movies like Braveheart and The Messenger :p

MemberAnyone playing Age of Empires III? I love the Native American units and all the free stuff you get from your home city, but I still find myself playing Age of Mythology and Age of Empires II alot more often that I play the new game.

MemberFirst of all, let me begin by saying that I agree with the majority of what people have already said here about Islam: that there are actually many moderate Muslims in the world who believe that this reaction was wrong and who are completely against the violence that has erupted.
Being passionate and even radical about your religion is one thing, but violence and terrorism is a whole different thing. I agee that Islam has been highjacked by terrorists. The same thing happened to Christianity during the Crusades. In short, what I am saying is that I believe that there are good and bad apples in every bunch.
However, people do make fun of Jesus all the time and destroy Buddha statues and make Jew jokes, but rarely has there been a reaction so violent as this that it has made world headlines.
As a Christian, I am involved in religious debate quite frequently online. I was taught that one of the first rules of debate is that you never want to launch a personal attack against anyone, because the moment you do, all rational thought goes out the window and it just turns into one big shouting match.
When sharing my faith online, I never resort to personal attacks, and I never respond with name-calling or ridicule even to those who would curse me out or blaspheme the name of my God. Even when I am persecuted, I understand that reacting with violence is not an option for me.
The American government has taken christian prayer and the pledge of allegiance out of public schools. Why aren’t there Christian people carrying out acts of violence against our government in response to such things as this?
Most religious groups have been victims of persecution at one time or another, and most of us have also been guilty of doing it to others. But there are certain things that you just have to tolerate. Certainly we can all express protest without resorting to violence.

MemberI think in forming an opinion one way or the other concerning the basic nature of man, one would have to specifically define the terms “good” and “evil” and also determine if they believe in moral absolutes, and then decide whether you believe moral absolutes change with the times or not.
Merriam-Webster defines good as something conforming to the moral order of the universe and evil as something that is morally reprehensible, sinful or wicked, morally very bad, and/or marked by mischief.
Some Calvinists believe that man is totally depraved and completely incapable of doing good except by the help of God. Some go as far as to say that there is no such thing as free will and that man has not the power or capacity to choose to do good or to act independently of divine restraints.
If this were completely true, then we could not hold anyone accountable for their actions because if it was already predetermined that they had no choice but to do wrong, then it would be unjust to blame them for something they had no choice but to do.
I believe we have certainly declined as a society morally speaking in the past century, but I also think that we are not beyond hope. We have the free will and the ability to turn things around for the better if we so choose.
But I have to ask the question: If there are no moral absolutes, or if moral absolutes change with the times, how can we say that things like rape an murder are always wrong?

Do humans live more peacefully than any other creature on Earth?I think if you observe the animal kingdom, you don’t normally see animals killing each other except for food or defense of territory. Some people kill other people just for fun.

MemberAre there individual permission settings for different programs on your firewall? I know that with ZoneAlarm Pro you have to sometimes click a second time for a program to act as a server after you’ve already allowed that program to access the internet. Could be a similar thing with the software you have.
