(I take it you have Messenger Plus then? You have to have Messenger Plus for it to work.) Ok then. When your at the contact window, go to the top of the page and click ‘plus!’ > ‘preferences’ > ‘plugins’ > tick the ‘allow messenger plus! to load plugins in my account’ and find the stuffplug-ng in the list. Then click configure below the list. A new list should come up and you have to check the box ‘enable over-sized display pictues’. Hope this helps! 🙂Ps. you dont see the size difference your contacts do

you can get a plugin for MSN Plus called Stuffplug-ng and it keeps the original size of the display picture. You can find Stuffplug-ng here: http://www.msgplus.net/pluginsdb/down/?action=file&id=93. 🙂when installing you have to go to http://www.stuffplug.com/?act=generate to get the validation key.

yes you can change the background to your contact list. Here’s how to:
1. Navigate to the MSN Messenger install folder (eg C:Program FilesMSN Messenger )
2. Within that folder should be a file named “LVBACK.GIF”
3. Backup the file by renaming it “LVBACK.BAK”
4. Copy the new background you wish to use to the MSN install folder
5. Rename the new file “LVBACK.GIF”
6. Restart MSN Messenger

Ok open an conversation window then at the top go to ‘plus’ then ‘plugins’ find stuffplug-ng in the drop down and go to ‘configure’ and tick the circle that says ‘enable oversized display pictures’. Click ok down the bottom and thats it, should work now. 🙂
I think its just an MSN fault it happens to me now and again, you just have to be patient and it’ll sort itself out. If your worried tho you can change your password if you like just to be on the safe side. 🙂
