Jeff HesterKeymasterI guess we will find out later this year… 😉
Jeff HesterKeymasterHey Dermot! I’m doing well. This weekend I’ll be running in the La Jolla Half Marathon. In May, I’m travelling to Moscow to speak at a conference. In June, I’m getting married. I’m running and hiking pretty regularly (running 3x a week and hiking 1-2x a week). And in between, I’m working.
Jeff HesterKeymasterSo true. I didn’t even see this thread until yesterday. *hangs head in shame*
How’s it going, Graham? Dermot? Anyone else?

It’s gonna be an outstanding year. Those of us “younger” than you are watching… you know, so we can see just how to do this milestone year you’re entering, when it’s our turn :p Celebrate! Enjoy! This is YOUR day 🙂
Thanks, Heather! I’ll do my best to set a good example. 🙂

Jeff HesterKeymasterThere’s really no way to know if they have deleted you from their contact list in Skype apart from asking them.
Can you clarify what you want? Are you concerned that they will know if you are online? If you block them, they won’t know, regardless of whether you are on their contact list or not.
Fill in a few details on what your concerns are, and I can probably provide a better answer.
Jeff HesterKeymasterWelcome to BigBlueBall. Do you have a name?
Did the motherboard ever work, or has it been a problem from Day One? Was it new or used? Where did you buy it?
If it was new, the seller should replace it — usually there is at least a 30 day warranty (most problems will show up in the first week).
Jeff HesterKeymasterThere is a free app that looks promising: Analytics for iPad gives you access to your Google Analytics data, including graphs, and it’s specifically designed for the iPad.
Give it a try and let us know what you think!
Jeff HesterKeymasterThis is with the same cable? You might try another cable.
Also, are you running the external display as an extended desktop (i.e. dual screen) or mirroring? What happens if you set it up for single screen display?
Finally, do you still have the old laptop? Make sure it still displays well with the same cable and monitor. That will help isolate the problem to the new laptop.

Welcome back! I’m still kicking. Your best bet to reach me is right here in the forums.
I still use instant messaging, but only with family, close friends or people I’m working with.

@brjohnsmith 255887 wrote:1) Using iTunes Store, when you dont want any software that you have already downloaded, you can delete from your device and application on iTunes, however, you can only hide the application on the option – purchased, but if you look at the account settings, you are able to see that there is an option where you are informed that you have some applications hidden. So is there a way to delete them permanently?
You can navigate to the folder where they are stored, but the iTunes Store will keep a record of past purchases. This way if you later decide you’d like the app after all, you can download it again without purchasing twice.
2) I have 5 computers and you can authorize 5 computers to sync, buy, etc..on iTunes Store, but the problem is whenever I try to sync the computer with iphone on each computer associated, the icons are mixed up. So is there a way to keep the icons as there are before sync for any computer?
Normally, when you organize the apps on your iPhone, this information is synched to the computer via iTunes. You can also do this in the opposite direction, and in fact, it’s often easier since you can drag-and-drop on your PC. But assuming you have made a change on your iPhone, and made NO changes to the app organization in iTunes, when you sync it should update the app organization in iTunes.
At least, that’s been my experience on OS X. You are on a Mac, right?
Jeff HesterKeymasterI’m going to assume you’re running Windows — I switched to a Mac a couple years ago as my primary PC and Audibles aren’t included in the OS X version of Yahoo Messenger.
What operating system are you using, and what version of Internet Explorer do you have?
And thanks for the note about the error uploading a .jpg file. I’ll do some testing.
Jeff HesterKeymasterGoogle and AIM are two different networks. The latest version of AIM shows your AIM, Google, and Facebook contacts in a unified buddy list, but that’s mainly for convenience. If you have contacts on all three networks, their names may show up three times (once for each network). And of course, AIM functionality will differ a little on each network.
If you’re interested in creating a contact list that allows you to aggregate user accounts across social networks, take a look at Trillian (the Pro version — which is not free). It’s the only option I’m aware of that allows this feature.
Jeff HesterKeymasterThis isn’t possible, and I’m not sure it’s desirable.
It’s all about accountability. In a chat room, if someone is operating anonymously, they may say things that they would otherwise NOT say (if their identity were known). Next thing you know, you’ve got chaos. If you don’t like that, don’t use Yahoo chat rooms.
