No wonder why I never turn the darn thing on! lol The stalkers outweigh little innocent peasant-passerthru’s like me 😛
One more thing…if someone is on dial-up thier IP usually changes everytime they log in and out from thier ISP…if they are on cable/dsl it stays the same
Actually for the record, there is another way to get someone’s IP using messenger…It has to do with building a sniffer in the registry…and that’s all I will say because I disagree with using this function :P!!
milk I agree, the best method is to go under another screenname first and change user…another note to make is that; in some cases, if you have offline messages waiting,this will briefly make you visible as well. I have a worse problem at this time…no matter what settings I have in pref or status…I always am visible whether logged in or out! It’s been this way since I set up my screen name.
