Programs never leave your PC when you delete them. They always have parts stored away in the system registry, even when uninstalled! When you download a new msn, parts of the old 1 are still there which can get in the way! anyhow… this should help your WIN ME freezing issue!

1.Exit msn messenger completely

2. click Start, then Run, type “regedit” and click OK

3.Then go to (they look like small folders) :

MyComputerHKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftMSNMessenger.

Click the ‘MSNMessenger’ key (Do not double click! just highlight it so it should turn blue)

then go to the Edit menu, and then click Delete.

Click “Yes” to confirm the operation.

4. Install your msn 6 file and see what happens!

Im running WIN ME too! I had the exact same problem, i did this and MSN worked a treat! Let me know how you get on FOLX! :confused:

P.S. I like to think of WIN ME as “special” rather than sh1t -l[]l! 😉
