Of course I have. I think everyone probably does to some degree. I am very shy, and quiet, and I dont like to talk, so in an IM, I can talk, alot, and never open my mouth, and I can also say what I want to say easier without turning red. I do make sure that what I say is exactly what I feel and am, cause I cant stand fake people, and I can feel a fake instantly even online.
It has also made it a bit easier to tell some jerk where to get off too, and I have enjoyed that. Some just need to know where to go. I have been known to do that face to face, but its rare.We never lose the ones we love, we lose the person, but love never dies. π

melneeMemberjust so you all know, that about the greens, cooked with a couple of porkchops on them is really the way we eat them. It is really good, but not with just turnip greens, you have to have some mustard leaves mixed in also. And the pot likker over cornbread is a meal in itself. Its great, if any of you aint ever tried it.

melneeMemberFirst of all, let me say I am from the South. Alabama to be exact, and I am in the country, so many would consider me to be a redneck. I AINT. π There is a huge difference between a redneck and a Southerner, although some dont realize it and consider them one in the same. I love that joke Shear posted. I actually know a few folks around here that way.
Jeff Foxworthy has the best redneck jokes ive ever heard. The one he told about wearing the boxers, and his grandma saying if he didnt stop wearing them boxers, his thang was gonna hang down to his knees, liked to have got my oldest son a good beating. He loved those jokes, and watched them daily, and one day when he was about 9 or 10 years old, we were in the Walmart, and Matthew yelled to me ” hey mama, if I dont stop wearing these boxers my thang is gonna hang down to my knees” and I could have died right then. Of course he was laughing so hard, he thought he was Foxworthy #2. He was not allowed in town with me for a couple more years. lol
Now, Kris, you forget about them thar blackeyed peas with yor cornbread baby, you all go out in that thar turnip green patch and pick a big ole mess of dem greens, cook em up real slow like, with some fatback or a couple of ole porkchops on top. Then darlin, when them greens are tender and yor tongue is slappin the top of yor head with awantin, git a big ole bowl of em and then take that big ole slab of cornbread, crumble it on yor plate, or platter, whichever is the bestest fer ya, and pour you sum of that thar ole pot likker over it. LAWWWWWs me baby, you all will be lickin that platter plum clean. We never lose the ones we love, we lose the person, but love never dies. π

melneeMemberI get about 100 a day. What gets me is the junk about xxx sites. I have never visited them, but I get several a week offering me a free membership. I also get the ones to help me stop smoking, but since I dont smoke, they are of no use. Then there are the millions to make me a millionaire from home, on my computer, of course with just a few hours of my time a week. Gosh if that were only possible, wouldnt we all be millionaires? π I love getting mail from friends, or a cute card, or poem, or just a friendly note, but some of this crap is getting ridiculous. I have it blocked on the hotmail acct. I rarely have a problem there, but my other email address is over run with it. I hate it!!!

melneeMemberOne of my most painful experience was when I was about 10, and I had a bike wreck. There was a dirt road behind my house, and my mother told me to not get on it riding , to stay in my friends drive. Me and my friend didnt listen. We thought hey, just once down this hill, who will ever know… mama did! At the top of the hill, I lost control, and i slid to the bottom of the hill with my bike on top. Not a scratch from the waist up, but my legs and feet were so messed up I couldnt walk. My friends mom, helped me to my house, and my mother, had to bandage me. She never said a word, but gave me a look that said I told you!! What was worse, we were going on a camping vacation the next week, and I ruined it for my whole family. I was so bandaged, I couldnt walk. They stayed mad at me for a week or longer.
The other most painful, was about the same age, I was fixing chicken noodle soup for that same friend. It was boiling and I knocked the pan off the stove, and had 3rd degree burns on my leg. I went into shock, and mama had to take me to the doc, and that scraping the dead burned skin off, and the noodles that burned into my leg was awful.
My legs have been thru it,We never lose the ones we love, we lose the person, but love never dies. π

melneeMemberThat CD O’ Brother, Where art thou, or however its spelled. I got it for my husband cause he loves that kind of music, but my 15 yr old son took it, and played it over and over and over, till I was ready to pull my hair out.
Then we had to get the good ole song,,, “I like Big Butts” cause my 8 year old loved it, and I cant remember the CD title, but it has some goofy songs on it that the 15 yr old plays constantly now.
I did download the song I like Big Butts to add to a cd for me, cause I tell my husband it is his favorite song, for obivious reasons. πWe never lose the ones we love, we lose the person, but love never dies. π
melneeMemberI cant think of the name of it to save my life, but it has Jack Nickleson and Helen Hunt in it. That was the stupidest, most boring movie I have ever sat halfway thru. Horrible!!!
And I dont like Meg Ryan so I tend to think most anything she is in is boring. That movie you’ve got mail, stupid and boring to me. πWe never lose the ones we love, we lose the person, but love never dies. π
