MemberUnSaKreD wrote:Actually migs, the ban does not reset on each log in attempt.Dependant on how long this is going on, you would need to contact Customer Care at Yahoo!, and explain the situation.
If they tell you, that you were in violation of their Chat TOS, ask how so?
If they mention a booter, just say your pc was hacked, and you just formatted.
well i just thought that logging in to the banned account will make their servers think its another malicious log in attempt.. anyway if it does not reset.. thanks for the information.. 😀

Hi miGs, you said for a while, how long does it mean?it depends on the violation, as unsakred said.. usually 24-72 hours. try not to log in on that ID for a week and see if that will fixed itself. remember, everytime you try to log on that banned account will prolong the ban cause the chat ban resets everytime u try to log in on that account in messenger.

Memberyeah it seems he has a chat ban. try not to log in using that banned ID in yahoo messenger for a while, it might get fixed.

Membershortymcshort wrote:Yesterday something interesting happened while I was on the Yahoo messenger. I was invisible on the messenger and had left it on all day long. I came back to the computer and I got a message telling me that I had been logged off because I can’t login to two different computers simultaneously. My wife is the only one who uses my account and she was alseep all day. I have got this message a couple of times before but now I am concerned that someone is logging into my yahoo account. I have a very strong feeling of who is doing this. I know I can simply change my password and be done with it but I would like to gather evidence against this person and confront them with it. Can I determine what IP addresses are being used to login to my account? Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks
it has been happening for quite sometime, cause i do also get that message every now and then… maybe the problem in yahoo servers.

A box opens up and asks me if I want to sign in as that id or a different one. I try to sign in and It says its done at the bottom but I get a X in the top left hand corner.
Anyone have any idea? I have the latest Java enstalled.
You need to install the Java Runtime Environment.

I tried sending him a story I had found and it said it couldn’t send it and would upload it to a File Transfer server.
I don’t want it to do this.
He can send me files just fine but I can’t send to him. He get’s the “accept” dialouge and all but it just doesn’t send.
Is there something wrong with my YIM or worse my account?
i get that same message when im behind a firewall… so i disable my firewall temporarily whenever i am to send or recieve file transfer… maybe this will help you..

MemberThe problem is with yahoo (servers)… so there is little we could do about it but to wait for yahoo to fix the problem.

Membernetman wrote:IceIf u really wanna do it. One idea i can think of is to delete ur other yahoo ID….and then create a profile by same name ( ur deleted yahoo id) to this yahoo ID.
But as other guys have said..there is no way u can merge two different yahoo IDs.
This wont work cause yahoo retains the account in their servers, only they are no longer accessible once deleted.. you have to wait for the account to be released for use by yahoo.
