simple way to fix the ignore deal. I have also told yahoo in several emails how to fix the ignores. that is to make the ignore bin client side and not server side. that way users can have up to 10k ignores without yahoo slowing down from loading all the ignores. its not like its going to cost yahoo millions to make messengers ignore bin client side.
Yahoo chat is yet again getting crammed full of bots, they started filling in all the rooms again. soon we will have all the chat rooms filled with bots. yahoo needs to hurry and put out that captcha fix soon. unless they like taking the servers down every week to temporally get rid of the bots.
I think the worst problem so far with chat is the bot problem. The rooms i used to go into only used to have 7 rooms max, now there are 100 of them filled to the brim with bots. I see this in every chat room i try and go in. Impossible to meet with friends in the chat rooms because bots have literaly taken over. Unless yahoo does something to fix this problem, they might as well get rid of chat because apparently now only bots can get in. god forbid we have a bot free chat. i get knocked into room 15 because every other one is filled with bots top to bottom. Im tempted to take pictures of all the rooms that have bots top to bottom and send them in photobucket links to yahoo. this is getting verry messed up.
These bots are getting out of hand. every single chatroom i go into is filled to the brim with bots. yahoo is making a mistake by not using the word verification. its hard getting into the room you want cause it has 45 bots into it. there are so many bots it almost seems like an attack against yahoo 😐
It would be a bad idea to not use the word verifcation. It seems the bot makers decided to put enough bots in to bring the rooms up to 60 in a section of chat that only had up to 7. so thats 60 rooms atleast on one section of yahoo chat filled to the brim with bots. it seems after the update more bots than ever have been coming into chat rooms.
I think you can, if i remember correctly if you type without the spaces copy paste and enter paste and enter it will buzz the crap out of someone without the buzz timer going into effect
I’t seems the rooms are only half working. I got into chat but after a while text stopped working and only vc worked. Then I tried to refresh but could not get back in. Maybe they are putting the servers up for a short time to test some things, Then taking them back down.
Well i was trying to login to my normal chatroom all day with a new client called yahaven. The author built in a room buster sine the chatrooms logins are so slow. so i have been trying to get in all day, recently got a room full message. since my home yahoo room is #3 im guessing that chatrooms might be back up since you have to fill room #1 to get #2 to open ect. so hopefully they are open now.
had trouble getting in last night and was finally able to login to both messy and chat. Just now tried to login and can not login to messenger. and when i try to login to yahoo mail its really slow and just displays a blank white page after i login.
hopefully this will get sorted out soon.
well i sent yahoo an email, got the usual email back that said i would get a reply within 24 hours. its been several days and i never got that reply. I have talked to everyone in the chat room i go to, they have the same issue. Apparently its yahoo’s new feature to messenger. so now in order to chat and NOT get booted by pm bombs you have to use yazak or another third party client.
Well alexis, you could do everyone else a favor, You could report that website to geocities/yahoo for having a trojan imbedded into the webpage. For that would shurly be a breach of the Tos ( terms of service) so if that webpage gets taken down by geocities, then people in the future might not get their account stolen.
But for you i would just notify all your friends about what happend, make a new yahoo id and add all your “friends” again. Im not shure there is anything you could do to get it back at this point.
When i went to ignore him, it would not ignore at all. it would not ignore text, it would not ignore voice. Everyone in the chat room said the same thing, they could not ignore him either. i tried ignoring him on messenger, and yahelite. i could not text ignore him, or voice ignore him on yahelite.

Sorry, but i don’t know how to help you out other than that.
Not talking just voice chat, it would let me ignore other people using messenger and yahelite, but when i tried to ignore this certain person, it would not ignore on either. everyone else in the room was unable to ignore him either. This person has been known to use booters, exploits and such in the past. that is why i suspected such. He uses voice chat as a weapon , sits and degrade women, him and his brother have been comming into our room for years and degrading women and us because of our relegion.
Ok guys a friend of mine has told me of some preferance settings that can take getting booted down to a very low chance. I have not gotten booted much at all with these settings, so i think it i should post the settings here.
1. set your ignore list to ignore anyone not on my buddy list
2. set file transfers to never let anyone ask for files, and never send anyone files. msn has a pretty good file transfer system 😉 you can use that instead if you like.
3.Under chat in prefs check ignore chat invites, instead you call allways use the /follow command to get to a room your buddy is in 😀
4.and if you are afraid of getting booted by somone mass emailing you , that makes the email notifcation boot you, you can turn off email alerts.
