In a seperatte post I asked about a mystery buddy who had appeared on my list. I could not determine who this person was and got no reply to my PMs. I DID use buddy spy to try and catch the mystery person online, mainly to find out if it was a legitimate friend or someone who somehow got added erroneously… I managed to get a response when I found them invisible and PMed him telling him I knew he was on and I wanted to know who he was. I got back several inquiries about what I was wearing and whether or not I was “nekkid on cam”. SO ~ thank you UnSakred…. BuddySpy DID have a fairly legitimate and certainly helpful use. It just depends on the intent of the user. The faults should therefore be placed on the user, NOT the creator.
I finally got a reply from “t”. He’s a charmer. Does JAM still work to remove yourself from another’s list?
I have had problems with stalkers of varying degrees of creepiness since I was just a smallish girl. Though I focused on my intellect, God blessed me with a package deal. So I have been followed on the highway, slunk after in malls, and gawked at in all sorts of situations. I had a man in India get all my personal information. It was scary, but all in all, not a total horror. I use my webcam often, but keep it set to friends only and I don’t show more than my face. ANYHOW ~ although it will allow more creepy guys to mind my business instead of their own I am not offended by unsakred’s program. I think he is quite talented. I also think that by informing all of us who use BBB of his progress we can at least know HOW Mr’Creepy knows when I’m invisible. And I do agree that everything the program does IS available through much clicking and maneuvering through Messenger itself, so I am not giving myself an aneurysm over the ethics of it. The internet is still a new frontier and for the most part, lawless. I wish I had the capacity to do what unsakred and so many others can do ~ and I am thankful that he has been so straightforward about his doings.
Also ~ if you are going to do things and visit rooms that youd rather not be seen doing – Buddy Spy requires that you have the ID of the person you want to check up on. SO if you don’t want to be seen , simply create a separate screen name for your dirty doings and DONT share it with anyone.Enjoy the laugh Buddha ~ if anyone is feeling impish enough to make such software, it would be my extreme pleasure to use it. Just think…..Cyber STDs! ::cackles madly::

Besides…dj_fantasy has already had this topic Locked. Scanning for cams and sneaking in on cams is as awful as peeping in dressing rooms. However , if we caught any of you peeping in a dressing room,we could punch you in the eye. Or have you arrested. God bless the internet….lol
it is MUCH easier to just go download some porn gentlemen. I use my cam all the time, but I only show my face. However I am plagued daily by innumerable Anonymous cam requests. I have taken to ignoring them and posting the IP address given to whatever chat room I may be in. I wonder , IS there a program that can help us ladies anonymously annoy the &*(& out of those who scan for cams? Maybe a fake cam with a nice pimply but, or disease ridden genitalia that won’t close no matter how often Mr. Anonymous clicks? 😡
I don’t have the solution, but I’ve noticed that my status will also change if I enter a chat or PM window. It just picks them randomly each time I change windows. Hmmm…
I noticed this quite some time ago, but wasnt really bothered by it. However, one thing i also picked up on was :mad:that my friend’s ID would show up as offline simultaneosly with one or more unfamiliar IDs, a good memory and quick profile checking showed me that i weas seeing all their alternate names sign off (or on as it were) at the same time. quite interesting to know which “square” friends have racy alternate IDs.
I had a similar problem with a hijacked home page. It made me INSANE. I found a program called Spybot Search and Destroy which blocks many known hijackers as well as spyware.I also found some useful info on this site. http://www.spywareinfo.com/articles/hijacked/
I figured as much…in any case , I don’t even HAVE 10 buddies, and I don’t care what they are doing or under what name, however, I was a bit concerned that I might be getting spyed on. Thank you for such a quick and comforting reply, this is just one more thing I’ve learned from this very kick *ss forum.
