heya Mariette ~ was lounging by the pool today… a balmy 82 degrees still at 8 pm…..
this is what we / i have found so far.. had 2 people report that someone had tried to send them a .reg file…. one person saved it and passed it on.. it was a registry key to change the status message….. so its possible its just that…… still looking tho. i HATE mysteries……..and litedatura.. you have waited a full 24 hours between attempts? i know its HARD to sit on your hands and not try…..

but there are currently 149 identified yahoo viruses/ trojans/ worms etc.
they are digging… but if its like aplore.. will have many links.
sad thing is.. yahoo goes home for weekend in about……. 20 minutes 🙁i NEVER said post them here….

Yahoo cant fix a bug if users dont ACCURATELY report it and just whine about it on unaffiliated message boards…. i am trying to help stop attacking me….and if you READ my previous posts…..

if you still have auto install enabled, you dont have to click a link……..god where do i go to ignore a forum user….
it has the identical characteristics of aplore….
the person infected/ affected doesnt see it…. it posts via messenger, noone recalls clicking a link…. or accepting a file……* usually* and it prompts to go to a site /link…… i did have one person say they clicked the link on friends status and it started a download…. she didnt recover link for me tho……
it is most likely a virus…. something that hits the custom status reg key……
it will be an easy fix if so…. but. the yahoo guys cant duplicate and noone.. * they swear!! NOONE! * has sent them the urls in a help report…..
im on messenger or email it.

include every single detail you can when you report a bug to yahoo……
MESSENGER version and module number, your OS, and EVERY detail you can think of, including other messengers open, what so called boot protection you have loaded etc. if the engineers can not duplicate the error – they cant fix…
yahoo isnt hiding…. they are not able to do anything until they get a few more details other than “yahoo sucks – my messenger locked me out”…..k?Hiya.
Does any one have the ACTUAL messages including the ones with the urls in them please? Have been DESPERATLY trying to obtain to give to my yahoo connections so they can FIX the error…i love infecting the engineers.
