MemberHey airwizard and welcome to BBB ๐
Are you using the same ID and same messenger version on both comps?

Memberhey snooker,
i had a similar problem a few months ago. What caused the problem in my case was, that my antivirus updated its virus definitions etc. every 2 days at the same time. During that automatic update certain applications on my comp ran very slow all of a sudden or froze. Maybe your problem is caused by a similar thing?niq6566

Complain to Sign in to Yahoo!I dont think flooding Yahoo with tons of complaints is of any help. You dont know if they are working on fixing several issues already, and complaints about the same things will just bug them and take their time which may be needed for other things.
I agree with you that the current “bot invasion” in chat is really annoying, but programs like Yahelite or YTunnel actually do a good job on that bot issue. The other things you mentioned never happened to me while i was in chat, so i wouldnt know about those.
As to the “Go to” function, yes it was funny to use it, but it did kind of violate people’s privacy.
And as Oreo and Dermot already said, yahoo is for free and by getting a yahoo account you agreed to the TOS so there is probably not much you can do. ๐niq6566
MemberHey Jhun,
you can try the following:
open this link with IE (won’t work with firefox etc) How do I test my webcam? – Yahoo! Messenger
You can test your cam there and it automatically loads the latest cam wrapper. Sometimes this helps when yahoo doesnt recognize the cam on messenger.Good luck ๐

MemberTrickeyLady wrote:(Before this starts to happen, I will get a messge from yahoo that I was logged out and back in again without me physically controlling it.)I can still send them my im’s and they can see them. I can not get their response unless I log out and login and then each reply is a seperate offline message. This is driving me crazy!!!!Hey TrickyLady,
I have similar problems with yahoo from time to time. I noticed that whenever i get logged out by yahoo for some unknown reason and yahoo logs in automatically after that, my messenger starts acting weird (f.ex. cam wont start, messages are recieved with delay etc).
I don’t have a fix for that, but when i shut down the messenger completely after i got logged out and then start it again by myself (instead of allowing yahoo to log me back automatically), it just works fine.
I’m absolutely no expert, but maybe this problem has to do with getting logged out by yahoo for some reason?niq6566
MemberMaybe a complete new install of yahoo messenger might help. Have you tried any of the newer versions of YM yet (7.5 or 8)? Also make sure you have the latest macromedia flash player installed.

MemberI’m afraid there is not much you can do. Ignore/block those people and report them as abuse to yahoo. you can see here how to do it: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/messenger/messenger75/managingim/managingim-30.html

MemberI’d suggest the usual complete un- and re-install (including registry cleaning and deleting the yahoo folder from Programs). I’d run a virus scan too, just to make sure you’re not infected with any kind of virus or trojan.
As to the chat problem, im not sure what it is, but it may just be a yahoo thing. When i sign into chat, it takes quite long time and my messenger miraculously sets itself to “invisible for everyone”, and alot of my friends currently have problems signing into chat at all.niq6566
MemberI just checked the BuddySpy forum on that issue. It seems to be a Yahoo problem and they are working on it. So i guess we just need to be patient. ๐

Membertoo bad…oh well it was worth a try ๐
thanks Dermotniq6566
MemberI just checked my buddy spy, it shows everyone as offline too… I read somewhere that it may be due to this yahoo messenger virus SS_AntiHacker posted about here https://bigblueball.com/forums/yahoo-messenger-support/37191-new-virus-yahoo-messenger.html, so i guess they will fix it soon.

Memberhey cosmic, i suggest you read the Messenger FAQ, #4 here https://bigblueball.com/forums/yahoo-messenger-support/33594-yahoo-messenger-faq.html
It will tell you how to get your password back, good luck ๐@dvelez: Your post isn’t really helpful, don’t u think?
niq6566
MemberThis often happens when a user gets booted or signs off while still in a chat room.
When i have this problem, i just sign into another room for a few secs before attempting to get back to the old room. For me that usually fixes it. ๐ -
