After you delete someone, they can still seeing whenever your are online because you are on their buddy list. So they are able to send message to you. But if you log on as invisible mode, they cannot see you. My suggestion, after you delete the undesired people from your list, you should go to set your privacy options by clicking at Messenger where is on the upper left and tick at “always sign in as invisible (appear offline to all users). Also go to ignore list option to choose “ignore everyone who is not on my Messenger list”, which will help you to block people who are not on your list to send message to you.
Thank you so much for the info. I did ask the person to remove me and she said she would. I have ignored everyone. I didn’t know the new Yahoo! has where if I am on their list they will sign on. I do know the older versions didn’t do that. Thank you again!
php111MemberWell, well…..here we go…It’s a good thing I didn’t click on it…..How do I know? Well I did posted on the Pro Board forums and here is what the Moderator said.
That goes to this forum…. It takes you here. That’s all it does…

Luck has little to do with it in this case. You’ve simply got to NOT click and download things that your contacts send you. Unless you click the link, you cannot get infected.
Here’s what I do when a contact sends me a link. I always reply and ask them what it is. If it’s a worm, they won’t even know that the message was sent, and will probably reply with something like “What the heck are you talking about?” That’s usually a pretty good clue that THEY have a worm on their system.
OK Jeff,
I am not clicking on NO websites at all but what’s up with the support.proboards.com/whatever and whatever it is.
He hangs out there mostly…..I really don’t buy it. Who would hang out at a Pro Board site where you would register yourself for a forum?

I’m not sure I understand what you are searching for? You want to use Skype to search for non-Skype users?
Who are you looking for?
Fanatic,
I sent you a PM. Here is the copy of it but anyone can jump into this thread. Yes I am willing to search over millions or billions of members. Copy is below.
Hi,
I thought I would give you the inactive name through PM. Did you read my original open thread post where I stated what I tried and everything failed where I am not finding anything? I tried using Skype for members. The old Yahoo name is hotty4_ever_51
My questions was. I try my best to explain. Is it possible to search every database there is on the networks for users in the directory and out of the directory? If so, since that name is currently “inactive” every where possible. While searching/scanning the entire network databases, will it find an exact or similar to the user name or will it just search for the user name I gave? Meaning if they still use Yahoo but don’t have the new name while searching the network will it find a close match?
php111MemberI really think I should search the entire database networks. In Directory and people who are not in the directory. My question is, if I run a search from database to database would it find a close match to the name? If so how do I perform an International database search. From Country to Country.

We are running out of options. NO members found on Skype. What would be the other options?

on the main skype window click “Search for Skype Users” and fill out the info and it should pop up once found 🙂
My question was can it search for non Skype members? Please read my thread.
php111MemberHey, Thank you so much for the info.

No, there is no A to Z listing. Yahoo only provides a search. Keep in mind that
Yahoo has millions of users, the time and resources to keep such a listing would
be a almost impossible to keep it updated. Also, not every user will be listed as
they have the option to not be listed as well.php111Member@Ven0m 225592 wrote:
Leave it inactive and don’t sign into mail for 30 to 90 days, and it’ll be inactive. Other than that, I don’t know of any other ways to force deactivate Yahoo! Mail for an account.
Thank you guys. Yes everyone is right just don’t check it.

You could try searching the Yahoo member directory – but that will only work if the person has an active account AND the account is public.
You could also try doing a Google search on the person you are looking for. Even if all you have is their old YH ID – it’s possibly they have switched to another platform, or have a social networking site (such as Myspace, Bebo, Facebook, etc.) where they use the same ID it’s just no longer Yahoo. If you have their first and last names you may find a Google search helpful.
It may well depend on the level of privacy the person uses when creating webspaces or ID’s. But I know I’ve been successful in at least a couple of cases searching this way. Don’t forget if you happen to see an old mutual “friend” you can always ask if they’ve seen the other person or heard from them as well. Good Luck!

Hi,
Everything failed. I even tried one last thing. I created a new yahoo name and added her, the add went through but 1.) She didn’t sign in and 2.) I don’t have access to her profile. Oh well, I scheduled the new yahoo name for a termination deletion. My mind must be there cause the only time I deleted was this Summer and I remembered how to do it but I done it a different way this time.
php111MemberI installed the Trillian messenger along with the plugin but i don’t know how to use the tunes. How do i use it and listen to music?

I only edited the capitalization. Sorry for any confusion I caused. 🙂
Oh ok. I seen it now. You changed it from an “i” to an “I”? Thank you Jeff.

Yea, I’ve encountered this too. It’s a bug with Yahoo! 360.
I’d like to note that there is speculation that Yahoo! 360 will be merged with a new service called Mash that will replace/merge 360 and profiles.
Oh cool. Do you know or have any idea when that will happen?

Oops . . . lack of sleep . . . can I blame it on that? Sorry ’bout that. 😮 Venom gave you the correct link. Hehe I’ll have to double check things next time. Forgive me. But now you see how mine looks – which is not very fancy or anything, just basic info and not a whole lotta work went into it.
PolarBear,
When i click on certain people to add to yahoo 360 i get the following error.
Error: You can not add or invite yourself.
And how do i set mine up similar to yours? I really didn’t see it. All i seen it wasn’t the right link but it’s ok Heather. Will you help me set mine up?
php111MemberWhy did you give me that site to your profile? I went and clicked on already have an ID then signed in. Why didn’t you give me a site to create my own 360 instead of giving me yours Heather?
