I have had the same problem with yahoo messenger, and I have gotten the same message, I think it is just yahoo, have you tried connecting through Java?
Do you only use messenger? You can use Java, it works better then messenger for a chat room, yahoo has been having those problems for awhile now. In Java if people can’t see you then you have to refresh, and the same thing happens in messenger, I have had it happen to me. Also Private messages don’t work well either. I hope this helps.
Have you tried chatting in Java? The problem you are having is one of mny of yahoo’s long list of problems.
It could also be just a yahoo glitch, I have had it happen to me, my friend’s would be lit up on profile and not on messenger or vice versa, also sometimes my friend’s actually have gone offline but their name is still lit up on my pager. One more thing I have to refresh messenger more than once to see if they are offline or online, because the little box doesn’t come up sometimes to let me know they have gone offline or come online, hope this helps.
Maybe the version of yahoo messenger you are running has a corrupted file. Try these two things I suggest, You can uninstall and reinstall the version you currently have or you could try an older version of yahoo messenger. I hope this helps.
It sounds like you have Bad memory. Do you have a good firewall and antivirus? Have you ran all the windows updates? And do you have a spyware program that can remove spyware, if you don’t I can recommend a program for you to download, and I can recommend a antivirus program also that is good.
I don’t think you can add him back to your list without permission from him, you have to add him back to your friend’s list through messenger, you can’t do it through your email address book.
I don’t think you can do that in Java, you can however make a private room in Java, you may be able to do that in messenger I think.
I didn’t read the whole thing correctly, I bekieve you either already have a name created for the room when you create one, or you can create one, but I am not sure about the sub category. I hope this helps.
When you enter in a chat room there should be a a box of choices like change rooms, etc in the left hand bottom corner, you should be able to create a room from there.
