I just tried and after shutting it off it works…do you know what I could do to the settings to allow it to work while the firewall is still on?
I think they should make ASCII screen names available…its hard to get a good one nowadays…everythings taken :/
I looked at the other topic and it seemed like we were having similar problems…although it sounded like he could view others profiles…i dunno…its startin to piss me off
I haven’t used smiley central, and yes, I did un-install AIM then re-install it, but to no avail.
It can get very annoying because I will see the Whoever is typing…forever and I will try to look at someone’s pro and it won’t come up, so then I know it isn’t working. So the person could be sending me messages and I won’t know it…AHHH!!!
I have tried that; When it happens I will sign off, exit AIM completely, and try again. It will then work most of the time and stop working shortly after. I don’t run any programs that would effect my internet connection; I usually just have AIM, Kazaa Lite, and an Internet browser open…along with the things that are automatically on in the system tray…
