Yes.. Just install to a different folder then you have 2.0 installed to.

CPU/Memory usage in Trillian seems to be exactly the same for me as it was in Trillian 2 (0-1% CPU and around 11,000 Mem).

You go to plugins and add the Rendezvous one and it sets it up automatically for you.
I have been using Trillian 3 for a couple days now… Some things I don’t like are:
The history loaded into the conversation window automatically loads the entire last conversation (can take a long time to load if it was a long conversation) they seemed to have removed the option to only have it load a certain number of bytes. (I used to load about 10 lines worth just so I could get an Idea of what was talked about last, and not have the annoying load time windows have now).There is nolonger an option to customize the text you see. I used to set my font and the person I am talking to’s font and size so I could clearly see it all, and It could look the same for all users.. Now it only seems to allow colors that are sent to you, you cant change them.
It seems that Renamed screen names don’t seem to remember correctly… Sometimes they show up in the online section when not online, and sometimes they wont show up when they are online (doesn’t show up anywhere on the list but trying to add them says they are already there).
This is probably just a simple bug of the alpha i’m sure they will fix.I was all excited about the video added to trillian with this release, but with my testing so far.. It doesn’t seem to work very well, and that is when I can actually get it to start.
One thing I do like is the layout of the new prefrences window.. it seems much simplier to use.
The log viewer seems like it will be really nice when its done, You can view your logs much easier this way… It won’t load all my logs so I guess its still buggy. (It doesn’t seem to like renamed contacts very much)

?>It’s hard to say, I’ve had very stable systems with all the OS’s listed (yes this include Windows ME.. I was able to build a system which ran Win ME perfectly (as far as windows can be perfect that is))
Although I would probably pick XP or 2000, it all depends on what you are using it for. I currently use an XP system primarily and it never crashes… well sometimes does but I know exactly what I did to cause it to crash, so it never just crashes randomly..The actual flash file is this:

All that is to tell the flash file exactly what to display.The installer is for both the basic and the pro version. It is now combined into one program, you only get the Pro features if you have an account currently (meaning a Pro account that hasn’t expired).. Or you can sign up for the 15 day trial of Trillian Pro.

That email looks legit to me..
Although, you should only have gotten that email if you actually went into AIM and clicked on change email, and typed in the new email address. Perhaps your wife did this on AIM?About the SMTP error… It doesn’t sound like it has anything to do with AIM… SMTP is the protocol to send email, so that wouldn’t affect if she could recieve email. I’m guessing it has something to do with your server settings in your email client (Outlook or otherwise). It’s possible that the error was just saying it couldn’t connect to the server at the time, and it is working now. If it happens again post the error so we can check it out for you.

You could try downloading and installing GAIM from: http://gaim.sourceforge.net/ And then sign into AIM with that and see if the Tools>Account Actions>Change password option works for you.
