No, there is no html that can do recording, and especially not any in the limited amount AIM allows.
**however, if someone is viewing your profile from trillian and they have the minibrowser plugin, meta-refreshes in your profile will work for them… This will not work for anyone who views it in AIM or anything else.
SathallrinMemberFunny, but why bring up a topic over a year old just to post that?
SathallrinMemberThis is the best way I have found to remove that Icon.
http://www.tweakxp.com/tweak123852.aspxYou can set that program into your run at startup..so it hides it on each boot.
SathallrinMemberYup, MrOats is right, there are a bunch of copys of DVDs of it on Ebay.
SathallrinMemberEither one of those would work for you as long as you have a free PCI slot to spare inside your computer. I’m guessing you’d just plug it in and boot it up, and you’re set to go. That is how mine worked when I got it off Ebay for $5 (including shipping). And it works great.
SathallrinMemberIts back up fine for me now.. and people are slowly trickling back on
SathallrinMemberBoth AIM and ICQ seems to be down.. so looks like all their servers went.
SathallrinMemberIf you look at the url.. the actual url is there, he just has a typo in the link.. here is the actual one:
http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Away_Control/1063907903/1SathallrinMemberTo add a number, go to Contacts->Add a Contact, then select create a contact from a mobile number.
SathallrinMemberUsing the basic AIM program the idle time is based on when they arnt using their computer. Using other programs you can change how this works. For example, using GAIM there is an option to select exactly what you stated. You can have the option to either base idle time on computer use, or based on actauly IM usage.
SathallrinMemberIts not very stable.. I tried it for awhile, but it would crash very often so I went back to 3.0.. oh well, should be more stable eventually.
SathallrinMemberYes.. there is a way to remove yourself from someones list.. That could have been what they have done. To reverse this you just have to add them to your list again.
SathallrinMemberYou can use this program featured in this post:
https://bigblueball.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20942Although… David discontinued the program so it is nolonger there.. I’m not sure if you can still get it somewhere.
SathallrinMemberGAIM has this feature… you just view your own profile when you are signed in, and it tells you the date your screenname was created.
SathallrinMemberYou click on your AIM connection (usually the icons at the bottom, but can be different depending on the skin) to bring up the menu and there is an option called “Send a message…”
That pops up a box which you can type the screenname into. It then opens up a message window to them. -
