Good luck with finding something that works.
Ive attempted auto-redirection with it before, so far no sucess. Let us know if you get it to work 🙂~Sathallrin~
SathallrinMemberQuestion: Can you actually put this code into your AIM profile?
Or does it only work if you have your profile link to a PHP page (with staying in AIM profile window). And from that PHP page, your script will change it to another page.
Can you put that into your actualy profile so that it will automatically redirect you to another site (I.E. your subprofile).~Sathallrin~
SathallrinMemberYeah, it is silly… I meant funny in a silly way.
Yes… http://www.ninjaburger.com/ is really funny…:)

New faces with new ideas are always good, its how anyplaces can grow. We can all learn from each other, and everyone who joins adds new ideas to the Forum in some way or another.~Sathallrin~
SathallrinMemberYeah, Im in class right now :).
I have AIM here, and I talk to people on it when I’m *supposed* to be working…lol.
I even talk to some people in the room, even the person next to me, even though it is easier to just talk to them. Oh well.~Sathallrin~
SathallrinMemberYeah, I just saw AIM the first time I read it, and read your message, and thought “Yup, thats good instructions”. Then I looked more closely. Oh well, now we have instructions for both AIM and Trillian.
~Sathallrin~
SathallrinMemberLol, Great instructions Jeff… But this is the Trillain Forum.
So I’m assuming hes asking how to edit it with Triallin:)1. Click the little AIM Icon in the bottom with the other program Icons.
2. (If you have more than one SN, first go to the SN you want to edit) Go to the Personal Options tab.
3. Go to the Edit Profile tab.
4. From here it is the same as in AIM, first 2 are optional, and 3rd is your profile.*With Trillian it doesn’t allow you to use colors or HTML in your profile.

SathallrinMemberMy answer isn’t there “Talking to friends while I should be doing work”.
But I voted for the “friends and family” one because that is closest.

SathallrinMemberIt is possible to use this in 4.7 without enabling HTML. You have to first write out the codes with the text in another program (notepad, word). Then copy and paste it into AIM. It works the same as the timestamp trick normally does.
**If your timestamp is off, when you paste it, you won’t be able to see it at all, looks like your paste didn’t work, but it should be there (press F2 to see it).

SathallrinMemberI think the limit is around 1300 characters. Using text fading does eat up the limit really fast. I’ve found I just have to send the mesage more often if I am using a fader. So it breaks it up.
If you use direct connect it *might* and that is a big *might*, because I don’t remember, and don’t feel like testing it right now… it might increase your character limit.
I just gave up on using text faders for AIM myself, because it just took more time to say stuff. Just pick a single color you like.:)

SathallrinMemberI haven’t used XP, so I’m not sure if this will work. But I’m assuming that it stores your AIM data in the same way. Try and find the folder that stores your AIM data, do a search for AIM.
Since XP doesn’t really change AIM, or at least I don’t think it does, you should be able to do it similarly.~Sathallrin~
SathallrinMemberheh, some funny ones there.
Some not so funny ones that I think are the least used, but I guess use some, as they are here on BBB are:
ymmv your mileage may vary
tpiay the pleasure is all yours
rsn real soon now
sitd still in the dark
sit stay in touch
sohf sense of humor failure
bcnu be seeing youThose are the ones I have never seen before, so I’m guessing they are the least common used ones.
~Sathallrin~
SathallrinMemberI haven’t looked at that yet, but I have seen some sites that have had some weird ones. Seems they just try to put them on their to be funny, and not always helpful. The list here at BBB, does happen to have the common used ones. 🙂 wwwttscbthum (well, when will these things stop comming back to haunt us more).
I just made that one up, and it will most likely be never used again like many of the other weird ones out there.

SathallrinMemberAnother thing I noticed about the new ICQ, is that it adds a signature to Outlook.
The signature includes your ICQ number, and an indicator that can tell if you are on or offline. (handy for the person getting your mail)
I thought it was neat, but you can turn it off in Outlooks signature options if you dont want to use it.~Sathallrin~
