Hello nightshadowx67,
I found this site with different FAQ from aim:
http://www.aim.com/bugreport/common_problems.html?aolperm=
There and under Windows AIM, there is this comment:
“startup.ocm failed due to error 31” error message
If you are getting the error message, “startup.ocm failed due to error 31,” it is due to an outdated version of the file COMCTL32.DLL in your c:windowssystem directory. To correct the problem, either install a newer version of Internet Explorer or take the following steps:
Go to the following web page: http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q259/4/03.ASP.
Download the “VC6RedistSetup_enu.exe” file.
Run the downloaded file, and then run the “vcredist.exe” from the directory you chose to extract it to.I know it does not exactly match your problem…but it was the only thing I found about Error 31 related with AIM, and there is no harm in trying, right?
N.-sciencefeelingMemberHello Shifter,
Thanks for your apologies, and I will try to pay more attention to my english from now on.
The two first points you mention were clear to me after his conversation with the Oracle at the park, she gives some hints about him not being the first and he makes some comments about her being …And I remember thinking about that too in the first movie (but believe me, that is just me….I like to anticipate what is going to happen and what is worse…telling everybody!!).
The second part was not that straight forward to me, but it didn’t surprise me either, because I already have my personal bet about what is going to happen in the third part, hehehe, wanna bet on that? ;).
Anyway, I tryed to send you an email apologizing too but I saw the e-mail address in my profile was old, I will change it and send you and e-mail.
Out of topic comment: What is with you people in america that get married so early??? 23 and married? You guys are crazy. But hey if it comes out right….
N.-sciencefeelingMemberThe first sentence was ironic, but…I guess my english is not good enough to reflect that, sorry about that.
1. You can call me a lier, or understimate my intelligence, but I DID know what was going to happen. It was sooooo predicatble, I repeat.
2. He could have given the profit to charity if he really wanted to do something good for society…
3. And if you liked this movie, i am sure Charlie’s Angels is more of your taste than mine, my favourite movie is The Godfather…that is my concept of good (you know great acting, good story…ups sorry I guess you don’t know).
4. I did like the first part, I actually like it a lot, that does not force me to like the second.
And please just don’t insult my intelligence….don’t you see there is no point, is quite clear where we both stand…sciencefeelingMemberOk, now my next question is….what about the error message Plus gives everytime I run MSN?
Thanks detn8r!!! I guess I have to read morem :(.

sciencefeelingMemberOk, here comes the spoiler!!!!!
Didn’t you know childs always do what you tell them not to, jeff?? (you should know me better, hehehe).
I saw it last thursday and I didn’t post until today because I didn’t feel like thinking about it after the big, huge, enourmous feeling of having been cheated my somebody when I left the theatre.
I though it was childish, violent and adult escenes didn’t quite connect to the movie argument and looked as if they were put there just because they sell.
The “I love you too much…(I won’t be more explicit cause there is people that didn’t see it yet)”, it is just sooooooooooo predictable. Some fights really didn’t make any sense, was just like a video-game, something you have to go through so you can get to the next level.
They could have just shot the last 20 minutes and move on to the third part…
After the bad critics, in my opinion well deserved, Reeves goes on tv saying critics should see it again. And my though was, yeah right, and you shouldn’t sell yourself for couple of milions, to do this crap (is that a bad word)?…and loose your dignity as an actor.
Now the good part is…the computer assisted scenes where great, yes, but a movie is a story complemented with effects not effects complemented with a story…at least in my opinion, they forgot what the movie was about, they transformed it from a cult movie to a superficial superproduction, good for them!!
N.-sciencefeelingMemberHehehe
Why do I laugh? Well, It does not get here until next week…I just think is funny, why do they do that?, why do we have to wait? I don’t quite understand that, anybody knows?Natalia hoping to get to give my opinion in this topic soon
sciencefeelingMemberHello Timbushpk
If you go to the aim express website: http://www.aim.com/get_aim/express/aim_expr.adp there is a sentence that sais :
“If your system does not meet the requirements to run AIM Express, you can still access the older version of AIM Quick Buddy[/b] here.”
So if you click onto AIM Quick Buddy it will open in almost whatever system you might have.
Oh…if you go into Quick Buddy, it will still ask if you are sure you dont want to use the AIM Express and so on, at the end there is a link in blue saying “here”, click there!!
N.-sciencefeelingMemberOk…my style might be a little different, check out http://www.caramelo.com or http://www.carolinaherrera.com
sciencefeelingMemberOk, that is what I did as I said before, and I didn’t find it, I searched the registry…
Maybe I am not clear enough…I don’t know…or maybe I am loosing my english skills, but I did search the registry…so, is it because the auto log in feature is turned off??, anybody knows?
N.-sciencefeelingMemberIf you don’t know what is going on go to the task manager window having closed everything you could think of and see what is running with windows messenger, that way you can end the task before closing windows and identify the executable file that is causing the problem…
That is what I do in similar cases.
N.-sciencefeelingMemberQuote:quote:Originally posted by DJHyperbyteI am running the MSN Messenger client version 4.6. The location of this could’ve changed in later versions. You will not find your password there in plain text though, so if you don’t have any clue about decoding it then don’t bother.
Well, when you said (hex) i guessed it was coded.
I don’t have a clue about decoding, that is why I asked my officemate to give me a hand on that before anything (anyway it is not really that difficult).
I thought it could have changed location, that is why i searched the register for some similar file name and still didnt find it.
Ok,now, if anyone has a clue, It just occured to me that it would be useful for somebody that logs in automatically and forgets the password, at the same time it could be dangerious for the same reason.
So, if someone knows and wants [/b]to share which is the file where this information can be found…
Thanx.

sciencefeelingMemberOk, I got it to work between me and someone overseas, from work, I am not sure what kind of security system we have here, there are not firewalls whatsoever, they just block some programs that take too much band, like morpheus and kazaa and things like that, but messengers don’t show any problem…not sure how they are so selective as I don’t know about networking.
If it is easy to get, then take it but don’t really waste your time looking for a solution, cause the time is not worth it, try logithech IM companion, is faster than any other.
N.-sciencefeelingMemberQuote:quote:Originally posted by DJHyperbyteHKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftMessengerService”Password.NET Messenger Service” (hex)
I got to messenger service but i couldnt get the password ourt of it, i am running xp. Any suggestion?
The Primary Service is the only one with .net…type of file
Can you guide me a little bit more?
Thanks,
NataliasciencefeelingMemberHi Kail, do you know if that friend opened his/her outlook express on the computer while your friend was online?
Sometimes somebody is conected on a computer and someone else opens the outlook express. Outlook automatically takes the contact list that is in the computer (in this case your friend), even if the account name is not coincident. Moreover, if that person deletes the contacts through outlook the stay deleted (funny, eh?)….and in the same way they stay recorded on that person contact list…
it is the only explanation i have, but that is only if that person opened the outlook in the same puter your friend was on.
Love & Peace
