It is not checked to remember passwords, but it will still sign in without asking for it.,,,I will piddle with it till i either figure it out, or destroy it 🙂
thanks for the answers.hey!! i went to msn to check your answer and somebody talked to me and it has taken me half an hour to finish this reply!! i understand what u mean…
Well just go to tools>options>general and uncheck the “allow msn to sign in automatically”,this should do it.
ByesciencefeelingMemberQuote:quote:Originally posted by JerkyChewes0terics, no luck. I changed the setting, exited & restarted Ym, and it’s still there. EclipsedWraith, I have .wcp files anywhere on my PC.
Guess I’m still stuck. Every once in a while it will work in standard mode, but this is the exception, not the rule.
Hey Jerky! I know i am nobody to talk to you about this kind of stuff, but…did you check for hidden files…???
(sure u did, cause i know u, but just making sure…)
And..another thing..did you try going to preferences<super webcam<…and check the "When Super Mode is available..always run in Standard Mode"
Sure u did too, but no harm in trying right???
That Spanish girl you know and who wants to view your webcam again soon!!.
:psciencefeelingMemberHi everyone!!!
Here I go again in my adventurous IM learning….
I tried this profile editor and I liked it veeeery much. Soooo easy to use, sooo easy to include whatever you can think of…
I asked my friends to take a look and give me feedback, and they all liked it (now i have to say something more meaningfull instead of “i am trying out this editor, tell me if you like it” :))).
The ‘real name’ feature is very cool and again, so easy to use, no html knowledge whatsoever is required…whatever colour you want to use..you can look up the number right there on their paint palette…
I didn’t use more than one page, but it was as easy to create as many as i wanted…
The bunner possibility is cool too…you decide who sees what, great!!
Give it a try guys!!
No personal information required when registering (thanks dude for that, i dont know aoout you guys but i hate long registrations!!), just an email address a registering name and of course, your aol screename.
Easy, easy, easy…, free, free, free, …cool, cool, cool….
Thanks for sharing it!!!!
NGsciencefeelingMemberI dont like Chat, i went in once and i didnt like it…what is the point?
One to one is much better…
I dont like meeting people online just because…I like it when it is a coincidence, but i dont go to a chat to “meet people”…no way!!, I meet people everyday, don’t need to go to a chat room where you dont see them for that.
If, for example, you give your opinion in a forum and, that way you meet people, fine, it is a bonus, but entering a chat room just because….ummmmm don’t find that interesting…
The last friend i met online (Jerkychew) was actually one of my friends’ brothers… i was in my friends puter and happened to talk to him by chance…but i wouldnt engage myself in a conversation with some random person, i just dont find it interesting…Just an opinion
NGsciencefeelingMemberQuote:quote:Originally posted by FanaticIt used to be an easy thing to do; just run the full Yahoo Messenger program with one account and the Java version with another. I just tried it, and it looks like they have changed the Java version. If it detects that you’re running Windows, it refuses to connect and tells you to install and run the full version.
Can someone else running Windows test this and let me know if you can connect with the Java version?
Hi!!
Your wishes are my orders Fanatic!!!
It DOES WORK for me!!, I am running WinXP and it allows me to open the java version. I tried with the same yahooID and with different ones,..and i found no problem whatsoever.
No idea why is that it allows me and not you…(though some might say is the “pretty girl syndrom” lets blame it on that (yep, it is INDEED a bad joke…).
My only guess were your java settings in the browser…but i don’t think that is it…Have a good Sunday!!!
sciencefeelingMemberQuote:quote:Originally posted by billbobHi
I noticed today that for some reason when I looked to see how many of my contacts were on line, that I said one more than was actualt showing up on my list…..does this mean one of my contacts were invisible? Thanks Bill
It means that you didnt count that Yahoo Helper is online all the time.
That ia my guess at least.
When they are invisible they appear offline and it does not count them at all, if it were otherwise, what would be the point of such a convenient mode?
As I said, that is just my guess, if you did count the helper, then…I am sure somebody wil come up with an answer. BTW if you want to take yahoo helper out of your list, just go to login>privacy settings>general>…there?, ok now uncheck where it says “show yahoo helper on my friends list”, and it wont show up anymore.NG
sciencefeelingMemberYes, but that has a little problem that I don’t think she likes, that is, that you don’t have different buddy lists. What I mean is that the moment you log on with one ID everybody that has other IDs of you know you are on…cause it associates it to the same e-mail address, and it activates all the IDs (I know cause I tried)…SO, you are online with different IDs BUT you cannot have different contac lists..everybody knows you are online.
I don’t know the reason why you want to be with different screen names but if it is for “confidentiallity issues”, I don’t think this will work…
Now, if you want to freak your friends out…or just have some people see other name, yes it will work…but they will all have access to the same e-mail address…
Just to clarify that point, I am going to do some research about the other stuff (somebody with more experience and knowledge is probably going to answer before I finish my research)sciencefeelingMemberI had the same problem before, on my old computer. Looks like the problem is of the other person, his/her audio configuration. If the computer is very old, the audio card might not support both ways comunication. Some old audio cards are in conflict with the audio settings of MSN. That will normally give the type of error message you talk about.
Go to the audio settings configuration and see if it says something about the card (old versions do, i tried to look that for u, but my current version does not say anything about it, though i remember in the old one i could see the card that it was using).
If the computer is kinda new then that should not be the problem.
Ask that person to make sure that the other messengers are signed off completely…
As I said, I had the same problem, I went to the audio configurations and it gave me two options of cards I chose the best one, restart, and it worked….I hope I rememberd better the steps, but I don’t (that is what happens when you fix something without knowing exactly how you did it).
I am sorry if this answer is not very accurate…I tryed to find what I did back then but I forgot.
Science
