Now that Yahoo are openly pushing this form of messenger it seems that they have removed these random messages. I guess I it must have been the beta version that generated them.
It’s a real shame, but fun while it lasted 😀
The last ones I saw were:
Fred is in the zone, prepare for an AHA moment
Fred is about to drop knowledge
Fred is hammering out a wicked comebackMaybe they will get their sense of humour back soon 😉
until then I will have to settle for Fred is typing a message 🙁two more messages that I spotted today with my conversation with Fred 😉
1000 monkeys just landed on Fred’s keyboard
Bate your breath, for Fred is typingIt’s a good idea from Yahoo and shows a surprising amount of wit 🙂
Hi John
At least I’m not the only one. If I get to the bottom of it I will let you know too
Cheers

I’ve tried the rebooting and starting MSN Messenger first, still the same. I do have an unusual soundcard configuration, so if that is what is stopping the Audio/Visual Tuning Wizard from running then I am probably stuffed.
HI Roland
I have just removed and reinstalled MSN 6.0 but the problem is the same. Where is this Wizard? Should it come with MSN or is a Microsoft utility? What could be preventing it from running?
Just for info Yahoo Messenger works fine with the cam, but I’d still like to get the bottom of this MSN problem.
With regards to Windows Messenger – I removed that last night thinking that somehow it may be causing some contention.
Thanks for taking an interest in this one

Hi
When I click on “Tools/Web Camera Settings..” I can see that the cam is working fine. However when I click on the Webcam icon during a conversation I get the “unable to run the Audio/Video Tuning Wizard” message.
I don’t know whether that answers your question, but I have tried many combinations.
