MemberHmmmmmmm….. don’t know about the discontinuation thing, but just thought you all might want to know that AOL holds screen names for a long time after they’re deleted! So if you lose it, forget about getting it back!

MemberWhen am i not on?
TheBigKevDogg
MemberNope, the resize thing doesn’t work 🙁
TheBigKevDogg
MemberThat’s a good idea Jeff (the javascript resizing), i think i’ll give that a shot! I coded the whole thing myself, mostly in just plain HTML but I used Dreamweaver for a little bit. I used flash for the top thing and photoshop for the the buttons and that’s about it! I’m glad you guys like it!

MemberI have some of the links nested, it’s just a pretty small area to work with when viewing some sites. Maybe I should do that for things such as the “girls are evil proof.” I don’t know of any way to change the window title. I’m glad you guys like it!
TheBigKevDogg
MemberHere’s the HTML to do it! Just paste this into your profile:

MemberRemember, don’t just click on the link that shows up below, copy that whole thing and paste it into an IM to yourself, then click on it!

Memberhave did you read the post at the top that says “How to turn off IM forwarding for AIM Mobile.”?????????? Check before you post, it’s probably in the FAQ’s or up there!
TheBigKevDogg
MemberI’m glad they worked for you…eventually! 😀

Thanks, I overlook the simplest things 😀

MemberOK guys I figured it out… Go into regedit (start > run, type in “regedit”), then go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Softwhere > America Online > AOL Instant Messenger (TM) > Users > [your screen name] > IAmGoneSpecialCases, and then rename or delete the value, “OsLO.” And there you have it! No more automatic away messages at least for that screen name on that windows username. Hope this helps someone!

MemberI used to have something in my profile that said “%n is my BEST friend” until one day this girl that I barley ever talked to IMed me saying that she was flattered, but that it was a little strong. 😀 Some people…

MemberOK, well I just found out that it at least doesn’t replace an away message you already have up with the default one, so i’ll just put my own up before i switch users. I’ll also find the registry hack or whatever to change the default message.

MemberThanks for the reply. I do want users to be able to see when I have away messages and am idle, I use away messages all the time! I just don’t want AIM to automatically put the default one up when I switch users, I don’t want any other changes. Is this possible?

MemberThanks for the help, but I still havn’t gotten it. Here’s some info from the router’s help page:
Some applications require multiple connections, such as Internet gaming, video conferencing, Internet telephony and others. These applications cannot work when Network Address Translation (NAT) is enabled. If you need to run applications that require multiple connections,-specify the port normally associated with an application in the “Trigger Port” field, select the protocol type as TCP or UDP, then enter the public ports associated with the trigger port to open them for inbound traffic.
So what do I put in the public ports field and how do I set AIM up with that? Is this even what I’m looking for? Thank you so much!
