Control Panel > PM Zone …
Select the user type.
You must have the Allow instant messages from this type of user selected.
Then you can select the Enable PM Challenge Integrity Check option.tim2679MemberIn the Vista test build of messenger they have the Tabs option.
Surprisingly, it works well. Have no clue if they will add it to
other builds in the future or not.tim2679MemberOne word … Drama … lol
March 11, 2008 at 2:18 am in reply to: How to know someone is invisible AND read their status? #167863tim2679MemberAs Venom has stated there is no work around to seeing someones
status message. The status message are sent by the Yahoo Server
based on the fact if you are on their buddy list. So the only work
around is to have control over the Yahoo Server and only Yahoo
has control over it.March 1, 2008 at 9:26 pm in reply to: When you ignore someone Yahoo shows you as offline to them, has it changed? #167630tim2679MemberThe only one who will be able to fix the problem would be Yahoo.
Only they have control over their server.February 29, 2008 at 9:45 am in reply to: When you ignore someone Yahoo shows you as offline to them, has it changed? #167629tim2679MemberCheck your Ignore Bin … if it is full it won’t ignore that person.
This could be what your problem is.February 29, 2008 at 4:53 am in reply to: When you ignore someone Yahoo shows you as offline to them, has it changed? #167628tim2679MemberAs far as I know your status has always been shown as to what it is, ignore or
not. If you are that worried about someone seeing your status then download
a Deny a Buddy program. If your name is actually on their buddy list it will get
removed. On another note there are ways to see if someone is Online, Offline,
or Invisible without having the person on your buddy list. In the end if you are
that worried about knowing if you are online then you might as well turn your
internet connection off. Don’t get me wrong I am not being mean here. Ask
yourself though, would you turn all of your lights off in your house at night just
so no one knows you are home ? loltim2679MemberNo, there is no A to Z listing. Yahoo only provides a search. Keep in mind that
Yahoo has millions of users, the time and resources to keep such a listing would
be a almost impossible to keep it updated. Also, not every user will be listed as
they have the option to not be listed as well.tim2679MemberTurning off the pop-up blocker in Firefox would be pointless. For one the Firefox
pop-up only blocks pop-up generated by Firefox, and two the Yahoo Messenger
PM window and its Chat Window that are used to display font are IE based
Controls. So if you do believe it is a pop-up blocker that is blocking your font
from being displayed it would have to block IE based pop-ups. In this case you
may want to try disabling it and see if you get font displayed.tim2679Member@David 226671 wrote:
I think that DLL only handles the login handshaking.
You might find this useful: YMessenger City – Yahoo Messenger 5 Login Dynamic Link Library
That might help him a little. If anything to see how the protocol works.
However, the YMSG protocol is currently at YMSG15/YMSG16. So the
login process will more then likely be some what different.tim2679MemberNo, it handles the login only. The rest you have to code yourself.
This includes handling incoming and outgoing packets. I would
suggests you get to know the Yahoo Protocol first. There is no
dll that will do it for you as yahoo like that change things a lot.tim2679MemberYou cannot increase the size of the ignore list, only Yahoo can do that.
The ignore list is stored server side, meaning it is stored on the Yahoo
server. Your ignore list is sent to you each time you login to Yahoo
Messenger and then loaded into the ignore list.tim2679MemberYou have to remember there are only like 5 people that work in the Chat department. lol
tim2679MemberOnce the packet is sent to the server there is no way to delete it.
This does not mean that the person will actually get the offline pm
as Yahoo does like to drop packets from time to time. Hell I can’t
remember the last time I actually got an offline messages. loltim2679MemberSounds like your friend might have clicked a link in a pm and gotten their name stolen from them. The the person who stole the Account then uses that account to try and steal more names as some people think it is their friend and usually trust any links that are given and click on them. Usually a fake login page or something similar to steal the passwords from people. Thus starting a new cycle, every new account that is stolen all of the users in the accounts buddy list is spammed with more links.
This is not hacking. If someone was hacking you they would have access to all of your files in your pc among other things. So don’t confuse someone who is simply stealing accounts as hacking.
