MemberCheck your status.conf to see that your jabber username and password are entered correctly. Do not use any strange characters in your password.
Try to log on to this Jabber account through a normal Jabber client, for example Psi.
Tony
MemberMake sure you have Java 1.3 or later installed and you should have no problems running Online Status Indicator. If you don’t have a graphical user interface, you need to set up your status.conf manually. See the hosting page and the FAQ about hosting for more information.
If you still have problems after trying the above, please tell us exactly what you do and what is not working.
Tony
MemberI suggest that you get an account at jabber.org instead. There has been some issues with jabber.com.
Tony
MemberIf you have your own host, you can have your own default icons for the host (which means that you don’t have to register each user).
Register an MSN user with your own icons should work fine too. Some browsers cannot handle usernames containing @ so that may be the issue. Internet Explorer should work fine, but I am not sure about all versions of Netscape. Also, make sure that the icon wasn’t cached.
Tony
MemberThe answer to your question depends on which messenger you are using.
With Trillian you can set up an event that sets your status to Invisible for ICQ, MSN and Yahoo whenever your screensaver is activated. It will not work for AIM, as AIM doesn’t support Invisible status.
Tony
MemberIt is normal to get some errors in the log file. This can happen if the user clicks stop in the browser or if a network error occurs.
Tony
MemberYou don’t have to register for each ICQ number you use on your site.
However, if you have a busy site, you should consider to set up your own OSI host.
Tony
MemberThe FAQ about Usage at http://status.webhop.net/ might give a hint.
Some OSI servers are however very busy and/or aren’t correctly tuned for MSN. I will look into automatic tuning for MSN in a future release of OSI.
Tony
MemberOSI caches a number of connections to MSN to detect status. These connections have to be used in a reasonable amount of time. If you have a new host without any indicator requests at all, the MSN connections will time out.
Once people start using your host, this will disappear.
Edit: I changed the title of this topic.
Tony
MemberI can’t see any MSN indicators on that page.
Also, I suggest that you take a look in the Online Status Indicator forum.
Tony
MemberIf you have both 4.7 and 5.0 installed, it will try to use 4.7. Stupid, but that’s the way MS made it. Make sure you only have one messenger installed. The web page at http://www.arcisoft.com:99/message/msn/tonysjogren@msn.com should open a send message box in your MSN Messenger.
Also, note that you cannot send yourself a message with MSN.
Tony
MemberYou need to have MSN Messenger 4.7 or 5.0 installed and running for the script to work.
I am not sure about Windows Messenger, but I think it should work too.

MemberCheck the FAQ at http://status.webhop.net/. You have to check your privacy settings in AIM.
Also, you have UPPERCASE characters in your name. You might try to use lowercase characters instead.
Tony
MemberI am using AIM status for my status image. Most users have no problems at all with AIM status, but some users have reported that it takes long time. Not sure if it is because of network connection or browser type though.
geeker, which browser are you using?
