I haves a funny feeling this has nothing to do with Yahoo at all … its more to do with Windows Messenger windows Spam if thats the case

Follow the instructions to it and then You should have Spam Stopped.. I know you have said it only happens on yahoo but this was what happened to a friend of mine and she did this and had no more spam.

Heretic is there any chance you will be doing the size patch for the new messenger which is Version 1710 by any chance?
wild here it is to make it simpler , You have already made a d value but you have to do this
1) Right hand click on that dvalue#1 and click on Rename.. and rename it to Use LogFile then click on it and you will see its now callued Use Log File ( ensure you have the caps where i’ve put them
2) Rught Hand click on Use Log File and click on Midofy and change the number 0 to number 1 then click ok
Close down registry and you shall now get what you wanted.
I downloaded the prog of yours sakred and has a few initial questions to ask you..
a) When I haves my pm box at a pre determined size albeit that size I haves never last for long why does Super Y increase the Pm Box size
b) secondly I dont know if this is a bug or not.. but when I clicks on the x on Super y when I only haves one pm box to deal with .. the pm box changes to another shape…
to clarify things here
1) I haves my pm box determined everytime I start yahoo ( Viat IM Settings in registry in Profiles ) at Height 300 and Width at 410 which is the standard size set by 5.6 as I hates the 6.0 size ( this is stated in registry )
2) When I clicks on Super Y it takes my pm box size to Height 348 and Width 460
3) Yet when I closes the Super Y with one pm box left in it it then changes to Height 368 and Width 404
so is there any reason why it first jumps to the big size when I uses Super Y at First and then again when I closes down.. for now im using Win ME havent tried it on my hardrive with Xp
The Reason for all this is the size of Yahoo 6 pm boxs are so stupid and way to large its a pain in that ass hence why before I starts yahoo I goes into registry and setting it to the size it was on 5.6

sakred I haves a question to ask with this program of yours as I have been trying on and off to ask you a question which I can do now as it kinda relates to this.
On yahoo 6 theres a bug related to the pm box.. no matter if you resize it.. the box will grow back to either its original size or larger when someone else pms.. instead of remaining its constan size as it did on 5.6
Will this tab box enforce and make sure the pms will be of one size.. or stay the size of your very first pm box that opens and wont get any bigger than this?
Cause on mine… I can resize it.. but can tell you after two or 3 pm boxes later.. you compares the size of the first box to the size of the last one.. its way much larger.. which is why ive asked this Question bro.

Some people are seeming to get confused on this patch even the ones I have sent it to.
heres the instructions
1) Download patch in the url given by heretic in the post above.
2) Once downloaded the patch unzip the patch and close down yahoo messenger.
3) With Yahoo messenger closed ( totally turned off even with its icon not showing in systems tray at bottom right hand screen)
4) Double left click on my computer icon, double left click on local c drive, double left click on Programs files folder, double left click on yahoo folder.. double left click on messenger folder.
5) when there you will see an icon called Ypager.exe When you see that…. either copy and past the mini patch or drag and drop the mini patch into there..
6) Click on the Mini patch and when a box appears.. click on Run Patch and then it will instal. and inform you its successful
7) Close messenger folder down and now run yahoo.
blah being ill royally sucks, anyway booochodu did you by anychance install 1671 on top of 1643 ? cause I saw your post just and was well enough to totally remove the whole of yahoo 1643 and then reboot totally and install 1671 then close down yahoo and install the patch, and its working ok for me so far yet the only problem I have is posts not coming thru but thats nothing to do with the dll nor would be your emoticons I guess, cause all VB has done ( correct me if im wrong ) is just added the menus to the 1643 version that may be your problem, but you may be better of waiting for vb to answer this or others who have upgraded to 1671

I just wanted to say that this dll of VB’s does work.. I went to Vb for the dll concerned and was impressed, by this I mean his reassuarance on what the dll did and what he was trying to do with it.. ( give it a yahoo 5.6 feel in terms of what was missing ie its functions ) I downloaded the exe he sent to me and follewed his instructions which was very simple… and once I installed it and run yahoo 6 messenger again I could immediately see the changes he had made..
Once again it is recommended for people who like yahoo 6 but crave for the touch and feel of 5.6 a must .. and again thankyou for the help and time VB tis appreciated.
click on start and go to regedit when there go to HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareyahoopagerprofiles then when there select your current id folder you are using then Custom Msgs folder and its in there.
Namrepus221 its nice to know I am NOT the Only one whos having this specific problem with the size of pms on a 1024 x 768 screen and whats more frustrating is this.. there as you stated appears to be no way of sorting this out.. well there is a way.. but for unknown reasons yahoo just keeps on making the pm size bigger and bigger.. and I too am waiting to see if anyone can help on this issue.. cause the pm box is way way way too big I just hope someone with freddys expertise can pinpoint this problem and suggest a fix.
