I understood standingalone247 to be asking about alternate AIM programs. I must say, I use and LOVE Trillian. There are 2 major reasons Trillian is the ultimate chat program in my opinion: no ads, and I can rename my contacts to anything I want. I’m not bound to the stupid screennames that people give themselves. Trillian records these aliases locally and displays them instead of the screennames in the contact list.
So, if standingalone247 is, indeed, inquiring about AIM alternatives instead of AIM enhancements, go for Trillian! Get this, Trillian supports multi-logon as well….
I serve my AIM profile from my own web server. I use the http-equiv refresh tag in my AIM profile to automatically load my HTML document when someone requests my profile.
I am in search of a way to have my HTML document query my online status and display the appropriate away message inside the HTML document. Anyone have any ideas?
I am interested in doing it this way because I like to do some cool HTML stuff with my profile (like pics, etc.) that the integrated profile mdule won’t allow.
