MemberWell I got it to where I have an invisible nickname….for the most part. Only problem is at the very end is one of the box things that kinda looks like this []. I tried removing a few of the upside down ! to see if that would fix it but it didnt. Any ideas?

MemberQuestion:[/b]Does Y.Messenger change codes for not accepting anymore funny nick name? or I have done something wrong down the road?.
Problem:[/b] create a nick name profile (alias) using the alt codes and Y.M is not accepted.
What I have done:[/b] did read all posts from beginning to the end. Have tried every single methods based on each post when I read along. no problem to change language back from china mainland, from hongkong, taiwan, korea to English or reversa. Also did try use the ASCII, LangChanger etc. did every thing but it is still ending with one result. At create public profile page for creating nick name is not accepted a strange, funny characters, alt code, ASCII codes at all. everyone can try it out whether it is still accepting or not? I have tried many times with two computers I have. Please let me know the result. thanks for reading.

MemberQuote:quote:Originally posted by hacksmhariwat language to use and wat code for some nick with heart and reverse letters
Hacksmhari, if you go to your “START” button, choose “RUN” and in the Command prompt[/b] type “CHARMAP” (short for CharacterMap), you will see selections of ASCII[/b] characters without much hassle. Also, if you’re not sure which characters correspond with each language, look below the words “characters to copy[/b]” and check the “Advanced View”, this will open a lower panel. On this panel you will see “Character Set”scroll on it and by default it is on Unicode[/b] though, you’ll see that there are options such as DOS: Baltic (etc) & “Windows:Arabic – Western”.There you will be able to select “Windows: Korean”. If you then kindly look up, the charactermap has filtered and shown you what characters that particular language can use to add and edit to your profile.
Some charactermaps have no “Advance view” button to check from so, you may NOT[/b] be able to do this. Though, if you pay attention to chatters’ profile you will see what codes (ASCII[/b]) are available with what language. Because some of them forget to change it and some like Korean profiles can’t be changed in able for the “trick” to work. Last example: in Korean if you paste this before, after, in the middle or where ever ( ¡¡ ) it’ll show a space, much like alt + 0160 for China-Chinese and backward letters are Russian and some Korean.
I hope, I am of some help. 😮

MemberI just found a little trick that’ll make life easier for those who accidentally uses Chinese-Taiwan or Yahoo-Taiwan. No need to panic, I know that when all is said-and-done[/b], it is virtually impossible to restore the English setting (US-English). Thinking back on what DuctTape posted earlier, I decided to redo my mistake :p just to see if I can find my way out. Instead of coming all the way out here to click on DuctTape’s posted URL, one can copy and save the URL on your browser when you’re at the very last page, where you’re about to choose Yahoo-Taiwan (obviously this page is still in English) on a notepad/wordpad. When you’re done editing your name in Taiwanese click “finish” of course and then close that page. On a new window paste the saved URL on the browser. It will bring you to the “log in” page (don’t worry if this is still Taiwanese) input your password and viola! You’re able to choose US-English or which ever language you’re heart desires :).
