Notice how the topic is about two weeks old?
Quote:quote:So every1 what do u think!!!Notice how the three pages in this thread with posts BEFORE yours tell you what everyone thinks. Please read the thread next time before reading just a few posts.
They have already come to the conclusion that it would be great, and there is no problem in getting coding, Jeff and I are here and we can do it. If he’s busy, hell, I can do it. It’s not hard.
July 11, 2003 at 5:42 pm #61628tangledlisaMemberWhy does it matter how old the topic is if it’s not closed or locked why can’t someone comment on it if nothing has been implemented yet?
I didn’t see a poll, I don’t see a Member of the Week anywhere, so it’s still open for conversation if someone wants to say ‘hey that’s a good idea’ right? Yes, (i think) it’s been decided it’s going to happen probably at some time, but do you get my point on being negative if someone posts a comment before there is a finished result?

Whats really dumb here is asking….””So every1 what do u think!!!”” when if you/they were not so lazy as to not read earlier posts and to see/read what “every1 thinks”.
Get on the plan here… It’s a forum…… Your expected to read earlier posts.. not ask the obvious.
Forums are not for lazy readers unfortunately.July 13, 2003 at 8:15 am #61607Jeff HesterKeymasterMagistyk & Rustedtight… I thought it was pretty clear that coolguy j2 was trying to stimulate additional comments from people who hadn’t yet expressed their opinion. In my book, that’s a good thing.
I think it’s time I bought a round of cold drinks…. looks like we all could use one! 😉

July 14, 2003 at 2:17 pm #61627tangledlisaMemberOK, since I didn’t voice my opinion in that last post I wanna put an extra 2 cents in 😀 I think a Member of the Month is such a good idea. What a good way to meet new people!!

A poll is a great idea to help shed more light on this matter. Come and cast your vote here.
July 15, 2003 at 6:17 pm #61659spongebobrulezajMemberi have a solution to the roblem with “that doesnt make sense” or any other comments that arent offenseive. there could be a warning level (like the one on AIM) and if you say something abusive you get warned 5 or 10 %. Then gradually your warning level can drop but if it gets all the way up to 100% you are permanentally kicked off Big Blue Ball with that username. That way, if they make a new username and say abusive things on that one, they will get warned and that can keep our forums nice and well behaved.:p:);):);)

Actually there is a ‘warning level’ already in place its called a ban, members abusing forum policy or ‘flood posting’ are banned from the site for a period determined by admin, another method employed is to cut the members post count by 10 to 100%.
July 18, 2003 at 10:40 pm #61660witchMemberI need to ask a question, which probably has a really obvious answer – what exactly is flood posting?
July 18, 2003 at 11:11 pm #61621FaizanMemberWell, it’s when people just post and post and post with just like 2 words in it, and when they post just one after the other.
