MemberOther good team? err..ok
Manchester United, Arsenal (blood pressure rises), Chelsea (blood pressure goes higher), Real Madrid (Nearly has heart attack), ac milan, inter milan and loads more. i cant be bothered writing them all. You should really start watching the UEFA Champions League. Best teams from europe are in it.February 22, 2004 at 5:32 am #86857sirhc09
Membergeez:eek: i didnt mean to ‘bother’ you i just wondered if anyone had any favorite teams and wanted to tell what they were. Ok I’ll try to start watching UEFA Champions Leage so I won’t have to bother you anymore;) So are you saying they’re all good over there? Are there any you think are not very good? (in your and others opinions at least)

MemberYou werent bothering me. they were the only teams i could remember at that time. and those 3 teams i highlighted are the ones that have either
A)beat united 🙁 or
B) are above united in the league.:(
and no im not saying that there all good over there. for example, manchester city. and in the uk, there are loads of leagues below the premiership. eg division 1, 2, 3 and the vauxhall conference. those teams arent exactly the best in the world!February 22, 2004 at 5:59 pm #86856sirhc09
Membero ok cool. what about Ronaldo on Brazil’s team? Anyone seen him play? I think he’s really good!
February 23, 2004 at 3:24 pm #86825sciencefeeling
MemberRonaldo is now playing at Real Madrid, along with Beckham, Zidane, Roberto Carlos,Raul and Figo.
Yes, they got all the biggest stars in just one team (only Owen is missing, lol), no wonder why they are called The galactic Team
Ronaldo first came to the spanish 1st Division League, known as The League of the Stars, to play in F.C. Barcelona, where he came as a replacement for Romario I think, who had recently left to play in Italy, and Stoichkov, who was at the end of his carreer and left to play in minor leagues, as the Japanese or the american (no ofense). After Ronaldo left, Rivaldo came as his replacement from Deportivo de la Coruña, another Spanish Team. He also became famous all over the world, thanks to his time in Barcelona, and left to Italy too.
After having some health problems in Inter the Milan Ronaldo came back to Spain to play in Real Madrid, the eternal FC Barcelona rival, Just at the time when FC Barcelona started his trip to the low classification places (from where we are recovering, hehehe). Figo, who was an idol for Barcelona supporters and a recognized Real Madrid hater…also left to Real Madrid due to a bad movement from his representative…
Real Madrid recovered form his economical problems at the same time that FC Barcelona started loosing tones of money.
So, yes I saw Ronaldo playing tenths of times when he was playing at FC Barcelona, and Rivaldo, and Figo..
Last year Ronaldo, Rivaldo and Ronaldinho were nominated to be brazil´s best player of the year…the three of them have gone through Barcelona at some point (for Ronaldo and Rivaldo being their way to stardom, Ronaldinho was famous before coming already).
So, other than FC Barcelona and Real Madrid (this latest being recognized as the best soccer team in the history, to my sadness, they own all the Records in european soccer), there is Valencia and Deportivo de la Coruña. These four teams who happen to occupie the fourth first places in the League, are the best in Spain.
Please someone from other country state which are the best teams there. We already know Premiere League, and Spanish First Division League..
Omg, this was a long post, sorry, I love soccer, I got too involved…lol

MemberWow you know a lot about Ronaldo. Way more than me. to me he’s
“that git that knocked united out of the champions league;)”While statistically, real madrid probably are the best team in europe, they dont have much of a defense. the players that play Defensive positions are strikers or midfielders. i think i remeber the club president saying
“i will not waste Real Madrids money on defenders”
Any team that uses their tactics against them and attacks constantly tends to score a lot of goals.February 23, 2004 at 10:37 pm #86855sirhc09
Member😮 WOW, you guys certainly know a lot about Ronaldo and the Teams! Thats really cool how much you guys know! anyone else?:)

MemberSoccer is getting very popular in the United States now, not as popular it is in Europe, South America and some other countries.
I have recently watched an Atlanta-based girl’s professional soccer game on television (telly) – they are pretty good players!

MemberChampion´s League first round-first leg enden yesterday.
As for the spanish teams…it was not their best round, but nothing happened that cannot be fixed in the second leg. (except for mayge Celta-Arsenal)
The purpose of this post is first, giving a reference site in case you want to follow the Champion´s League and UEFA Cup results, and tell those United supporters out there (;) i.e. Red Devil), I am really sorry and I have no doubt United can recover in the next leg.
More info next week when the next UEFA Cup round will take place!!

MemberThanks for the consolation sciencefeeling but porto deserved to win. I dont know what game united were playing but it wasnt football. at least we got an away goal. Hopefully, united will play better when porto comes to Old Trafford.
im Surprised that Juventus got beaten, they were in the final last year! I doubt that theyll go out at this stage though. Did anyone see the goal that Real Madrid scored just to get a draw? cant believe the keeper missed that one!
while its unlikely, i want celta to knock out arsenal. (In case anyone hasnt noticed by now, i really dont like arsenal.;))

MemberYeah I saw it. Kahn should have kept that out. Anyway, Brian McBride is doing well at Fulham. He’s scored 2 goals already. 1 of them on his debut. I expect to see more from him. Also, a list of sites to keep in touch with european football is here:

MemberFor anyone interested, here are the results from last nights champions league matches.
Chelsea 0-0 Stuttgart Chelsea go through on Aggregate: 1 – 0
Juventus 0-1 Deportivo Deportivo go through: 0 – 2
Lyon 1-0 Real Sociedad Lyon win : 2 – 0
Man united 1-1 Porto Porto win on Aggregate: 2 – 3United lost!!:( NNNNNOOOOOOO!!
I managed to get a ticket to the game and the atmosphere was amazing. When United scored
30,00040,000God knows how many united fans went crazy! united scored a second time, but it was ruled offside. How I dont know because I checked a replay later and 3 players were playing scholes onside. It was unbelivably cruel when Porto scored in the 89th minute, off a free kick, which the replay showed was not a free kick.:mad:Another thing that annoyed me was the diving.:( The Porto players would fall over at the slightest contact and the ref believed them, but would not give anything to united. Christiano Ronaldo went off injured (to a standing ovation from the red army) but the referee did not book the porto player for the challenge. 😡
Anyway been ranting for long enough now. ill try to calm down for my next post. 😉

ParticipantDid anyone see the game between Haiti and the US? It was a sucky game. But anyways, I think Landon Donovan, Josh Wolff, and Jonny Walker are pretty good.

MemberI didn’t see that game, but did anyone watch the DC united and San Jose earthquakes game on saturday? Freddie Adu got to play in the second half. I still can’t believe he’s fourteen and playing professional soccer! The final score was 2-1, DC’s win! yea!
