ParticipantHi Asham, don’t believe there is a program to put you into ‘standby’ simply a matter of waiting it out and trying again. I have found sometimes if you go into another room and then try the room you originally wanted to enter it seems to let you in.

ParticipantHi James
I too have the same problem with my contacts on Live messenger… one day my contacts are there the next they disappear! With regard to uninstalling MSN did you do it through Control Panel? or just unstall via the msn program? I believe the Control Panel would be the only way to fully unstall but seeing as you have already tried and are left with some files I don’t think this would work. Why not contact msn and query them?

ParticipantWelcome to Bigblueball, hope you enjoy your time here. I am also a mother with 3 children, born N Ireland, lived most of my life in Australia and call it home now. 🙂 enjoy

ParticipantPerhaps you are reading them and then ‘going back via the menu bar’ instead of clicking back on your mail box? you can also tick the messages and the use the ‘mark as read’ option or of course just delete. 🙂 enjoy

Participantin the new yahoo you can choose whether to save the archive on your computer or not. If you don’t save the archives then no contacts will remain listed under your id on your harddrive. Your id, however, remains.

ParticipantHi Lady…….. Live messenger advises the following to remove it from your system:
To remove Windows Live Messenger:In the notification area on the taskbar (near the clock), click the Messenger icon, and then click Exit.
On the taskbar, click Start, and then click Control Panel.
Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
Under Currently installed programs, click Windows Live Messenger, and then click Remove.
Click Yes.
Hope this is of help:)
I would assume if you remove it it will also remove your emotions etc.. unless you can find a way to save them?babebounce2004
ParticipantHi Isa, I have no idea what it means but i do know i have had a similar experience although not the same wording. I had thought maybe the user in question uses Trillian to operate Yahoo or MSN??? Sakred how about an answer…..

ParticipantHi, When it comes down to it we all know ‘trust’ is a big deal with kids. So you either have to trust in him and how you brought him up or deal with the consequences if he ever finds out you spy on him. We all know there are programs out there to do what you are asking, but then again, if you use them you may not like what you see either. Its a no win situation, consquences either way could be dangerous.
