MemberI have tried using Odigo 4.0, it doesn’t let me sign on to MSN, ICQ, AIM and Yahoo. The web-based client used by Odigo is the only one I am able to use so I don’t think it is worth for me to keep.
EasyMessage is a little nice program, I am not currently using it now. I am waiting for the developers to improve it a little bit, then maybe I will use it more often.

MemberI think Messenger Plus! would have that, it will only tell you when the user has logged on. I don’t think Messneger Plus! would have timestamps or something like that.
Maybe someone here will be able to help you with this.

MemberThanks for the link. 😀
I currently have AOL, this is why I use AOL to check on AOL profiles.
Brian
MemberAre you and your girlfriend currently using Windows XP?
If so, this might is what you’re looking for: http://www.auburn.edu/oit/security/messengerService.html or go to start > run > net stop messenger.

Memberzookeeper, you might want try the one I posted recently, since ICQ and AIM are about the same.

MemberI have noticed numerous of times whenever I’d call AOL to cancel my service with AOL. I can only use the screen name with the Master access (or whatever it is called), not the second screen name I had. I guess if you want to keep your AOL screen name for AIM, you have to switch that screen name to the Master access?

MemberI don’t know if this would be any of help for you. I got this off a bulletin-board.
How many of you have trouble direct connecting while behind a Cable/DSL Router. I use to have that problem. But not anymore (if I initiate the connection). Here is what you do if you have Win2K or higher. Please note, this only works if you are using a static IP addresses for the computer(s) that you want AIM Direct Connect to work.
Go onto your router configuration program and find your WAN IP address. This is the IP address that your cable/dsl company issues you.
*Go into you Network Control Panel
*Select your Network Adapter and go to Properties
*Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click on Properties
*Click on Advance
*Under IP Adresses, click ADD.
*Type in the IP Address from step 1.If you still can’t Direct Connect to someone, go to your router configuration, go to your DMZ setup, and enter the computer’s IP address.
If your WAN address changes (this is more prone to happen with DSL than Cable), you will have to change the address in the advance section of your TCP/IP properties everytime you want to Direct Connect.

MemberYes, been there before. It was my biggest mistake. I think on-line/cyber relationships are wasting of times. I rather have one locally.

MemberdMSN is supposed to have that feature where you can log on offline status everytime without having to change it. I do not know if it is any good, so check out -https://bigblueball.com/links/links_goto.asp?id=282 or browse through some helpful links – https://bigblueball.com/links/links_showall.asp?cat_id=23&parent_id=2&parent_name=Instant+Messaging&sub_name=MSN+Messenger .
Brian
MemberYou could try blocking all people (or the one you do not want to be seen by) on your list, and when you’re ready to talk, all you have to do is to unblock them. This is the only way I know is to sign on and switch to offline status real quick or do the block thing.

MemberThis had been posted before, so you might want to check out this thread – https://bigblueball.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1884 .

MemberI’ll have to vote for MSIE. I’ve been using MSIE for many years, because I have noticed MSIE have very little of bugs than other browsers like Netscape/Mozilla and Opera.
I’ve just tried Crazy Browser, but not enough to convince me it is better than MSIE. 🙂
