I just tried one of my old Yahoo ID that I haven’t used in about a year. It won’t work on YIM (without logging in for the E-mail). I recall years ago, I was able to log in though I never bothered with the E-mail account.
Maybe someone here knows the answer for this.

ICQ Lite is a nice little program. I haven’t had the chance to play with it because I still prefer the Pro ones.
I don’t think ICQ is dying. I read somewhere some years ago, that most Americans prefer AOL IM/AIM over ICQ, while people in other countries prefer ICQ and MSN over AOL IM/AIM.
I’m hoping AOL would speed up allowing ICQ users to communicate with AOL IM/AIM users.

Yeah. ICQ has been around for years, before AOL and Yahoo started offering instant messaging services. ICQ was invented by some pre-teen or teen-aged boy in Iraseli before AOL bought out making the boy (now in his early 20’s) filthy rich.
I think ICQ has at least than 400-million users now.

Yeah. MSN Messenger 6.0 was leaked and wasn’t supposed to be that way until the official one next month or so.
Is it worth to download MSN Messenger 6.0? Not really, if you want to see how it is or use it before the official one. With the leak copy, you won’t see some functioning right.
I don’t think that is possible. I think you have to leave your account alone until 60 days or so in order for it to be deactivated and probably could still use your Yahoo Messenger.

Yeah, I have WinZip, but that doesn’t help to get the darn skins show up in preferences. I even tried everything I could think to get the skins show up. 🙂
I’ve been using Trillian on and off for years.
I, too had the problem trying to figure how to get it to work for me. I was able to get one of the skin working for me, it is one of those Windows XP skins.
Reading the instructions at Trillian has not really helped much for me and SOME people I know.
Hope we’ll be able to get some help getting the skins to work for us.
Big disadvantage on ICQ Pro 2003a now is that it doesn’t have the feature where you could unregister (discontinue) your ICQ numbers. On older ICQ (like 98) verisons you could easily unregister ICQ anytime.
I have tried to unregister one of the ICQ number I did not ask for /want another one, when I tried out Praize Christian IM (a Trillian-wannabe) some months ago.
About time for Microsoft and America Online to work together on getting their instant messaging programs to work in one client. This probably won’t happen in the near future.

No you weren’t being a racist. You were only trying to be helpful.
Let’s not start this now. You have to remember that the majority of members here know English, probably know some other languages like Spanish and French. It is considered to be very rude when one use a language in a public bulletin-board like BigBlueBall where no one would understand. It is best to take it to E-mail, Private Chat/Messaging or other way of chat methods. 🙂
