You just need to open another instance of yahelite, you can do this easily by typing /fork in the chat window… I think you can only have 3 versions of it running, it used to be unlimited, but they changed that because people were using it for malicious purposes. Btw.. you need a different user name for each one.
how do you manually change your IP .. (broadband connection) and can you do it if you are networked and not the main computer ?
yahoo sometimes “steals” my whistle face for a few hours and all I can see is :-” .. yet all my other faces will work fine. *shrugs* it’s yahoo.. enuff said.
when you add a contact to your yahoo address book there is an option to also add them to your messenger list (if you know their yahoo id)
No problems here finding people in user created rooms, the only time it doesn’t work is if the room is “invite only” and that would be because the bot can’t join them to check it.
Same kinda thing has happened to me.. I actually pm’d one of the people trying to view me and asked how they knew my cam was on. I was told there is cam scanning software that allows them to scan yahoo (the servers perhaps??) and gives them lists of online cams. I’m not sure how true this information is, but it kinda makes sense. It is scary.. my suggestion would to change it so no one can view your cam without an invitation, that way you won’t see these requests. 🙂
